Friends Forever
This thread is to remember the members of these forums, who have passed away for what ever reason. - - A big thanks to Arkan]for the idea.
Rules of the thread are simple......RESPECTFULLY talk about the person and remember them. It's a way to memorialize them and to let them know, they're in our thoughts. - Kraut Killer - More information here | Forum thread here |
Thank you, Jim. Hopefully we won't be adding any more memorials to this thread anytime soon.

Rest In Peace to our buddy KK - A real soldier who died for his country.
Lest We Forget |
R.I.P my good man.
|
here's hoping that we don't have to add anyone else to the list...
|
Thanks Rude and for the rest of you guys.
I've been thinking alot about KK (Thomas Barbieri) these past few days. We had an addition to Sunday's paper which had the faces of the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during this conflict, and i found myself looking at KK's for awhile. I'm glad i got a chance to know this honorable guy. May he rest in peace knowing his service won't be forgotten. + 1 |
This is why you can never forget about these people. Sometimes we get away from it. It seems so far away to us if were not involved or don't have any direct connection. And then one day something changes, as it did recently here. We all understand the fragility of life, and why we mustn't forget about anyone, no matter their views or creed.
Rest in peace Thomas J. Barbieri. |
Well said ninty, good job Stammer & Arkan
Rest in peace Thomas J. Barbieri. |
What a shame, RIP KK, I love you dude.
|
RIP even though i didnt know you well i still remember that you gave back to the forum community and made it a better place.
|
I didn't really know KK that much, although we talked about mustangs a few times...This is the closest I have been to an Iraq war death...rest in peace bro.
|
Had to come out of the shadows when I saw this thread. RIP KK.
|
i didn't really know him that well, but i do remember wishing he posted more often. miss you man, RIP
|
wow...i was not expecting to see this. RIP KK, i didn't know him hardly at all but still... thank you for your service.

Every so often a level of wonder emerges from the AA pool that impresses me to no end.
Job well done Rude & Arkan, job well done. There were often a good group of soldiers running around AA, and the gaming world in general, and to know some of these guys then lose them is heartbreaking. You will be missed KK. |
i remember when a clan i was in for AA lost a guy in iraq. it sucked then, it sucks just as much now.
|
^yeah same thing happened in a clan i was in, it made everyone feel like shit.
|
two people died in my clan.... but 1 was a car crash and the other was a suicide RIP cry:
|
RIP - He was a great American.
|
....just thinking of you my friend.
We can remember him here as well http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cg ... d=15487139 |
Very unfortunate. RIP.
Update: http://www.sanluisobispo.com/news/local ... 29401.html One of my buddies from middle school / early high school went missing and they found he killed himself in the middle of the desert around Fort Bliss (Ironic, eh?). I guess he already toured in Iraq twice. No doubt he was suffering from depression / PTSD. RIP John Fish. |
Just moved this to board announcements, in case anyone was looking for it, also by bumping this to the top it will be displayed in the index of the site.
|
Good job Rude....i was looking for it.
|
The links at the top of the thread are no longer working (possibly because of the move from different forums). However, the link to the Arlington Cemetary no longer works either.
This one does tho: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...&GRid=15487139 |
Thanks Blitz
Fixed the first two links and trying to figure out why the members list is not showing. If you find the link to the thread (last link in first post that is still broken) please let me know and I will fix that. I'll look after I fix the members list. again thanks. |
