Bioshock Out Now + PC/360 Demo
 

Was bored tonight so began looking at some trailers, got onto Bioshock, read that its now gone GOLD......and that some confirmed reviews have been pouring in (pun intended):

Wish my PC had the power to run this beast as its got to be one of the best looking games around.

Update: 2K Games has announced that the PC demo of BioShock is "in its final stages of testing and approval," and is planned to be released this month. The company did not definitively announce whether the demo will be released before the game's August 21 release date, but an announcement is expected soon.

Xbox 360 Demo is out now!

Still dunno if a pc demo will hit at the same time. mad:

I woulda preferred a pc demo at the same time to check dx10 performance, just seems kinda funny that the 360 demo is ready but the pc demo isn't even though this anouncement was planned a few weeks ago. Just seems to me ms wanted a demo exclusive for the 360 so told 2k to keep back the pc demo. mad:

Guess i'll go grab the demo, but something about this game just doesnt feel right. I dont know what it is but watching the videos something just feels off. Maybe its the environment, or the weapons, but its off.

This is like 56k days all over again, youd think for a game that has been hyped this much (and going by the reviews can back up the hype easily) that ms woulda allocated a ton more bandwidth to the live servers.

Yea i got that feeling too, i thought the weapon models looked a little awkward and also the enemy attack motions.

Would be nice, even though im dloading the demo the controls are gonna annoy me before i even play. Playing an fps with a joypad is like using a mouse and keyboard while wearing boxing gloves. mad:

Theyve really fucked up on this demo release....yet again. Was at 45% and it was just crawling along, maybe 1% every half hour or so.

Cancelled and started again, got to 15% inside 5 mins then started crawling.

stop whining about the controls, ive got perfectly adapted to console fps games with the controller as apposed to the keyboard mouse, sure it aint as accurate but it still works fine. maybe its your leprosy scarred hands thats the problem

LOL console controls autoaim and all that other gay shit, no thx, i prefer to have to aim myself and not let a jopypad assist my tank turret like controls. rock:

you can turn off mauto aim tho - its just there to assist the likes of your self.

Think i'll play fps games how theyre MEANT to be played, and that not with a tank control setup on a joypad.

The art deco visuals, the sheer atmosphere of the game is what I'm most interested in as they've spent a lot of time crafting it. The old 50's music, the creepy sound effects are fantastic and the voice over story telling is what really drives the game forward......wish I had a 360 right now to try it out cry:

the demo is pretty slick its a nice mixutre between oblivion and a normal shooter

Pc demo should be MUCH easier to get a hold off seeing as theres more than one dload location.

ive easily had to restart this dload about 5 times, got stuck on 49% stuck on 72% etc etc, fucking pathetic service.

downloaded it. played. it sucked horribly.

I've always wondered why keyboard/mouse support on consoles is rarely used....what keyboard would you use with a 360?

Can anyone shed any light on why people stick to controllers on consoles when keyboard/mouse support is available, I've never understood why.....

360 doesn't support it in games, ps3 afaik will support it for unreal 3.

Microsofts old excuse with the originalxbox was they didn't want people comparing it to a pc and keyboard\mouse would have made it very comparable seeing as most of the components were just slightly modified pieces of pc hardware.

FPS gaming with a controller isnt that bad - Takes a bit of getting used to, sure, but after you get over that, there isnt really any difference and it doesnt seem to effect gameplay at all.

Quit whining like babies and go jack off on your mice/keyboard combos.

I just played the demo, holy fuck its crazy!

The graphics are so fucking awesome, and the game itself is pretty scary. Awesome sound effects, the music really hits the spot with the atmosphere. Overall its fucking bad ass.

i just played the demo and HOLY SHIT,

i just found 5 bucks in my other pair of pants!
