I worked as a store stock boy of sorts. I worked at a nail and staple store. They sold nails,staples,air guns that went for em, generators, compressors,etc... I'd pull orders , work the fork lift and unload trucks,containers and push pallets into the store if need be. Basically, the building market around here has taken a bit of a drop in the past 5 months or so. My boss hired me on because he expected it to pickup and was hoping to have my fully trained by then in order to deal with the rush. Well the rush never happend and for the past month I've been sitting on my ass looking for stuff to do. He had to let me go and such so no big deal. I got the unemployment option and such.

ironic how i read that the US's unemployment rate is at an all time low since 2000.

It's pretty rough around here. When I was working at the store, alot of the guys were talking about how they had to lay off a lot of workers because of the lack of work around here. No houses or anything like that going up.

I'm thinking about trying to get in on Fed Ex or something that might produce good benefits and pension type junk.

economy has been fine. Fed cut rates twice a couple weeks ago and we've been getting some good market rallies after that 1000 point drop the dow had from 14k. My portfolio has been growing. made 110% off of LUM, i suggest you do the same.
