Disappointing, but then again it's a review. Doesn't mean much unless you play it. It got a 7.9 IGN review, but reader reviews are >9.0.

Considering this is the review from the same guys that said the 2 riflemen in the tower in the demo reminded them of snipertown they were so accurate and hard to take out, i wouldn't even bother with this one. Its short as fuck for a review as well...and yet again gamespot go against the grain by handing out the lowest score of all the reviews so far. seems to be a running theme for them just to get people talking. oOo:

How can a game go from being one of the best looking at e3 and "beautiful" to "not a great looking game". Such a credible site. :rolleyes:

LOL exactly Gerv, that's what I thought when I read that review.

the demo was smooth and polished. reminded me alot of COD. it was very very easy though. movement and mechanics seemed "slow" for me? might also be too used to playing BF2 oOo: visually it was solid and ran well on my nasty machine all maxed out blah blah blah.

with no shotty in MP, im not sure if im willing to shell out the bucks for this. ill wait for more player (geRV) reviews etc.

-noticed alot of a$$holes who played MOHAA are creeping out of the woodworks again. was looking at some competition forums and saw some familiar names. has it been that long....sheesh...

yea exactly, MP is all I'm concerned with, I probably won't touch the SP.

Actually the shotgun is in mp apparently hidden around certain maps, i can see one of the first mods introducing a shotgun class.

Only reason mp is dodgy at the moment is because people are hosting it from home. 10 days or so for the patch for proper servers.

So why is this game getting shitty reviews?

The demo was fun as hell. The upgrades are cool, the cinematic feel is cool, the visuals and lighting are great. From playing the demo I and the reaction on forums like here how 85% of the people loved it you would be thinking this would be getting 9/10, but it's not.

Anyone played a few hours of the full game yet? I can't find it in a store here yet. Maybe later today. If not i'll have to wait until after the weekend.

Reviewers are fucking idiots, theyre just of the opinion "another ww2 game" and have made up their minds beforehand about it.

Funny how they dont bitch about yet another rpg where you have trolls and elves or another modern shooter or another f1 racing game or yet another fucking madden or nhl game. annoy:

The 360 demo for this game is awesome. Definately getting it. I thought it would play like shit, but the controls are actually really fun and keep it moving.

Why did they have to make the game so Goddamn dark?

I saw cuts of Destroyed Village in a video, that's awesome that they're bringing back all the old favorites. A remade V2 Rocket Facility would own.

Definitely, i really enjoy the game on my 360. Ninty just get it, you will like it.

Wow, forcing anti aliasing to be on really cripples performance in this game. eek:

Yeah, I know things will get a *bit* smoother once the patch is out, but there are still things MP-wise that need to be addressed. For example, the server browser .. Not being able to scroll down holding the bar, and not even being able to double click to join a server. Things like this although they may sound very petty, are downright stupid for developers to miss, no questions asked.

Every server pings 0, and there is not even a bar for ping once you are in the server sleeping:

I won't give up on this game yet, hopefully beating single player as many ways possible will keep me busy until the week of the 17th happy:

We dont get it til the 13th which im pretty dark about, but at least ive pre-ordered and paid in full, so in a week I'll just be able to stroll down to the mall and pick up my copy.

Not a very long game, each mission takes about an hour, unless you keep dying. Theres a total of 6 (i believe) missions, each one you jump in.

i reserved it. probably won't be able to play until this weekend though. I'm out of town until sat but after that we should get the peeps who bought the pc version together for some madness.

They're keeping in spirit with the MOH series. In Underground you had to escape from that stupid dog fort shit, and in MOHAA you had to escape from Fort Schmerzen.
