I have a fucking Mac question that's driving me crazy.

I'm dealing with a client that is recording narration in PowerPoint on the Mac using the internal Mac microphone. In some developer's eternal wisdom, they decided not to include a "Change Quality" button under the Record Narration settings, like in Windows.

So, how does one go about changing the default recording settings on a fucking piece of shit Mac OS X machine?

Well, I DID search first before resorting to asking you goofs. It was worth a shot, I s'pose.

system preferences > sound > input > move the bar to be louder and remove ambient sound
I think that is what you were asking....

Not quite. I'm looking to change the quality of the sound, not the input volume.

For example, I assume that the Mac uses very high, CD-quality sound by default. This would be 44,100Hz. I'm looking to decrease that quality to something like 11,025Hz.

It's easy as shit to do in PowerPoint in Windows. Non-existant on the Mac, it seems. Stupid Applefags.

The Audio Devices page also offers controls for setting various audio device properties, such as master levels, sample rate and bit depth.

You can't decrease the audio settings past 44100! You elitist fucking CUNTZ!

You can type in the textbox, hit enter, and it blips back to 44100.
