I think those screens look pretty damn tasty to me.

If people let themselves get worked up so much about a game like this, then they're bound to be let down but........looks nice.

My worry is that MP may look a little daft with the power suits zooming around but if the maps are big and/or if certain things can be disabled server-side, who knows..

Whats the current figures circulating about the player count in MP?

Looks like shit, the HK USP model is terrible.

Dunno how many players, ive never really had much thought about the mp in crysis, from all the vids ive seen it looks like bog standard deathmatch\tdm with the suit abilities tossed in.

Prob DX9 screens. The DX10 version will look a lot better.

Farcry MP was terrible. Luckily these games aren't about the MP.

pics in that thread looks pretty nice to me.

I wouldn't say theyre as good as the vids weve seen so far, multi seems to be toned down some. Going by that thread the beta seems to be sticking settins to low for some reason as well.

This runs like absolute fucking SHITE. I dunno what the problem is but some areas im dropping down to 11fps. ed:

wtf 11fps on your rig? isn't the game supposed to be released in 2 months? guess they have a lot of optimizing to do then. thought they said everything was going to be scalable so you didn't need a super computer to run it.

It is a beta but jesus christ, this version was assembled september 5th so its not like its months out of date. Thers a guy on hardforum with sli gtx's and a 4ghz dual core getting around 15 or so fps in some areas.


Doesn't make much sense, ive noticed though that vista isn't supported in the beta..which is retarded seeing as the full game supprots it. Dunno if the OS has anything to do with the amazingly shitty performance.

screen i grabbed when playing, the demo has settings for upto HIGH but ultra high is disabled so that must be the setting where the zomg look at that screens were coming from.

and actual sp demo is sept 28?

25th, demo should represent actual retail game performance, if it runs like shit theres gonna be a lot of unhappy bunnies. cuss:

Got beta 2 the other night, it really does run like shit, talking like 20-35fps most of the time.

Makes me wonder wtf the full game will need to crank up the settings and fsaa.

Ive yet to see anywhere near that level of smoothness. Thats the penryn quad which at best is a few % better in benchmarks than the kentsfields. Love to know wtf res that was run at.

i'll wait for the demo before condeming the game. they've been saying all along scalable back 3 years, and i read in maximum pc that they said c2d 8800gts @ 1280 would run near max settings, so hopefully this turns out to be true.

The demo peformance should be a good indicator, then again though the games not due till 16th of november, so the demo optomisation might not be indicitive of the full games performance. Usually a games sent off for duplication 3-4 weeks before hand so that gives them a few more weeks to optomise it further.

The mp is really confusing though, theres literally no physics action, no grabbing and tossing people or objects yet it really runs like a dog. Its kinda BF2 styyled on large maps with some vehicles knocking around, only difference is you get points for capping areas or killing enemies and use these to buy weapons or apc's\tanks.
