Anybody who doesn't like Halo doesn't like it because they hate a well balanced game that takes skill and team speak to be good at.

I don't like it because its hyped so much...ITS A FUCKING FPS it looks no different than any other fps game ive seen except its in the future...I dont think its much skill to drive around like a tard on a dune buggy while someone on the back shoots at anything that moves. you could do the same in BF2 AND Joint Operations

This was actually the second clip in the series (of 2) intended to fill in the gap from 2 till 3. And of course build hype for the game. In case you couldnt peice it together its a live action version of a recon team tagging the MC's trajectory to send out recovery. Frankly its really well done for just a little promo peice and in the right hands they could have a decent movie even with those production values. Since that is in fact a rumor floating around.

There's a part of the game that you just don't see, that's a reason why so many people don't see the skill involved, it's just on a higher level than you got into. Social matches are fun for running around like a retard but the competitve ranked matches between lvl 40+ are more intense than any game I've seen for any system. It's just a different level of play that you wouldn't see if you're playing on a map with a warthog or banshee or more than 8 people. 2v2 and 4v4.. you clearly just haven't seen it.

exactly. Ranked matches with anyone near or above lvl 40 is like playing a completely different game than social and ranked matches when you first start out. There really are clear cut skill differences as you play the game more and more. Someone just starting out won't play anybody who is anywhere near good so the game is no fun.

It would just end up looking like Starshippoopers anyway.

you know they do. halo 1 and halo 2 mp maps were much better than these, only single map that bares any resembalance to something decent is highground. awful otherwise, and gets boring playing on the only non vetoed maps zzzzzz

stat, 1 and 2 had good maps but there are plenty of good ones in 3 too. Valhalla is a redone version of blood gulch. Guardian is very similar to one of the maps from 2, can't remember the name though. The other maps are good too, especially Construct and High Ground as you said.

The maps need getting used to is all. If you don't like halo you don't like it, just don't say you don't suck at it and that sucking is the only reason you hate it.

not bragging but im rather not bad at all as having been addicted to halo 2 online, its too much the same and the maps just dont do it for me. its always that horrid ice map, or the bridge map or highground. same shit and rush for the same points on each map gets tiring

i owned halo 1 for pc and xbox, halo 2 on xbox, and have played halo 3 on and off, its crap. period.

No way it lives because it's still got compelling gameplay and matchmaking is the best way to run a multiplayer online.

Halo is the most popular videogame ever. Is the best? Dunno, ask the millions of players. Knock Halo all you want but it's still numero uno. I personally think COD4 is the best game out right now.

This is why I stopped playing Halo 3
1.) After an online game, you get put into a different server with all new people
2.) I hate not being able to choose the server to go in (COD4 does the same but it doesnt bother me because of one thing, everyone stays in the game for the next round.)
3.) Having to press a button to talk. I have enough buttons to press already so you give me another to talk to people. (don't give me that it saves bandwidth crap)
4.) It was hyped like crazy, and I bought into it :(
5.) It really didn't look that good, everything looked oldschool
6.) Better games came out (Orange Box, COD4)

1) Not really true. You can choose to party up with the players from the match. Like any other game, its up to the other players if they want to stay in the same 'party' or whatever with you.

3) I dont remember having to use any buttons to talk... I could be wrong.

4) True. Wasn't as great/revolutionary/omgzcumtaztic as I the hype made it out to be.

ANd as for the maps... Each game took a little while to get used to mapwise, I think.
