Even though its not until around the 20th of July its been getting some great reviews, plus this:

Kevin Smith has seen The Dark Knight

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ogID=410282847

'Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that's not an overstatement). It's the "Godfather II" of comic book films and three times more earnest than "Batman Begins" (and fuck, was that an earnest film). Easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn't so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I'm not the first to suggest this, but he'll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor. Fucking flick's nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece.'

I'm a huge Batman nerd enough as it is but my excitement is at boiling point. I recently went out drinking as the Joker (heath ledger style rather than Jack) on a night out, had such a good time and plenty of strange looks....

Coleman 06-30-2008 06:06 PM

here's an interview with some of the leading actor/actresses in the film talking about Ledger and his acting.

Gonzo 06-30-2008 09:25 PM

ign gave it a 5/5 not that i go by them but i guess its a good sign. but if kevin smith said its good and knowing that he is a comic book geek it must be amazing

spoilerish

Aaron Eckhart would reprise his role from The Dark Knight - because working with Christian Bale is "phenomenal".

Eckhart, who plays District Attorney Harvey Dent in the sequel, confesses he "absolutely" would star in a third Batman film.

He tells WENN, "To work with Christian (Bale) all over again, and the cast, would be phenomenal. I think this movie is a movie of a lifetime."

SPOILERZ (what happened to the miniscule font btw?)

it'd be interesting to see how that works, since he "died" in the last one (or at least Harvey Dent did... maybe Two-Face survived... spooky)

Machette 07-23-2008 04:56 PM

Bale beats his mother..no good.

[DAS REICH] Blitz 07-23-2008 06:50 PM

Twelve grams of sugar? thats bad

Machette 07-23-2008 07:18 PM

what...

Nyck 07-24-2008 09:15 AM

saw the movie last night. Total Bad assedness.

Machette 07-28-2008 01:13 AM

Saw it again..feel like this movie doesn't have very good replay value. And all those calling it a masterpiece need to check your head.

Paintballr 07-28-2008 02:25 AM

Saw it on another forum I post on, someone mentioned if they can get Depp to be in the next would he would be a good Riddler any thoughts on the next villain in the next one?

Machette 07-28-2008 03:51 AM

Everyone is saying its gonna be riddler..Christoper nolan has stated he dislikes the penguin because he is too unreal.

Because a guy in green spandex with a crotch bulge talking bollocks is so much more believable.

:goodjob:

well, they've had 7 months to fix that, but they still kept it as is...

Pyro 07-29-2008 08:11 PM

so wait...two face isn't dead?

either way...too bad heath died...cuz the joker should not die right away...dude lasts so long in the comics.

[DAS REICH] Blitz 07-30-2008 04:29 PM

well, do you think this movie series will last long?

personally, i think it will stop after a couple more

and they will definitely replace the Joker should it be extended farther than that

Machette 07-30-2008 07:05 PM

I would hope Nolan steps away from the series...guy has so much more potential than making more batman movies.

elstatec 08-01-2008 07:06 PM

i feel awful. like i want to kill myself because i know the rest of my life is not worth living due to the fact that i will never see a better movie than this again.

and id hope they don't make any more because you cannot see them topping this. and even if heath were alive i think it would be flawed to bring him back - yet at the same time you know any other bad guys would be pale in comparison

mr.miyagi 08-02-2008 01:45 PM

Saw it finally the other night.

Fucking. Fantastic.

Heath was outstanding, I'm planning on going to see it again this week

Gonzo 08-02-2008 04:54 PM

now if heath didnt die and ruin everything in the third movie it should have been joker and harly quin

Machette 08-03-2008 12:52 AM

Angelina Jolie as Catwoman. Word on the block.

elstatec 08-03-2008 07:00 AM

nah its just another bullshit rumour.

phillip seymour hoffman as penguin
johnny depp as riddler.

all bullshit
