Hello, I'm just wondering if the German are playable in multiplayer games? I mean for CTF or DM games I'll be surprised to see US soldiers shooting each other...

One thing to note, it's that the Germans actually were the most harshly trained soldiers in WWII, while most Americans were recruits. and that Allies won only because of mass number and in some cases better weaponary. If you ever saw or read about how the Germans were trained, you'll be surprised.

Hey mi_trooper: Do u know German panzer-ace Michael Wittmann? This glorious Soldier of the Waffen-SS killed 138 tanks and 132 AT-Guns!

I don't think that German Soldiers followed AH like Zombies..most of em fought for their country and their people, not for the Nazis.

how can you say something like that ? i believe not all germans were nazis but it is very confusing for the young adult population of the usa to understand that . when i was growing up i thought that "nazi" was just another word to call a german . now i feel sorry for all german people because they literally have to forget about a part of their history . its like in the southern
U.S. where some places still wave the confederate flag and a lot of people dont approve of it . it is part of their history . but you cant say that "any german can beat up any american during that time period cause its just plain ignorance and foolish pride . people in my family fought in ww2 , korea , and vietnam , and i dont go around saying that they were the best soldiers , try to be more humble about your history .

Actually I hope we could play the German's side in multiplayer too... or it wouldn't make much sense in multiplayer. Team Deathmatch: Allies Vs Allies Vs Allies.

It will, however, make a lot of sense and be a lot of fun if you could play both sides, since they have different weapons and equipment, which is not available to the other side, unless you picked it up from a dead body... should be cool.

a canadian would kick all of your asses, they were the most feared solider of all the axis, they rarley took them as prisoners, they would mostly just kill them, hell why do you think they got them to raid dieppe, because they were the hardest fighting soldiers, and if anyone could do it it would have been them. so i go with canadians being the best, so put them in multiplyaer to

I know for a fact that Canadian land troop contributed a lot during the WWII. Granted, they're not strong in numbers, but I heard my history professor said that they were extremely good at alley battles.

That was ONE isolated case.. are you saying that if one american is a pussy and has no hand to hand combat skills, then ALL the others are too ?

Let's face it, the german was much bigger in size (assuming strength also) than our american friend, but that does not make it a general rule...

Although the Allies outnumbered the German, they were defending the beach right? So that evens out the scenario.

Well my point is the Germans WERE trained very well and that includes hand to hand fighting. The Americans simply did push-ups and they get sent over Europe right away~
