They aren't greedy. It's not their fault that they want to make money of this game.

I think they should have an option to turn off blood and then turn it back on.

It would be a lot better if they had blood... like Half-Life... it has blood... bot no gore...

Having a choice to turn the blood off or on is a great idea. Having blood in the game would tell you if you hit your target or not. Its kinda hard to tell.

to bad that all wont happen =(, people will make mods though

They have a hit location reaction (you shoot a guy in the arm he grabs his arm and jumps around in pain). If you play the PSX version you will see what I mean. |
I see. I have MOH on Playstation and I hope they have those reactions.

End this topic now before it becomes something like what happend when DJK was around. There is no blood fullstop. http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

I would like to see a small amout of blood, just a little on the clothes and a small spray, but nothing like SoF or anything.

Most people here feel the same way (including me), but EA has made the decision that there will be no blood, and it is doubtful it will change. |
yep, we all would like blood besides maybe djk but there will be no blood, =(
|
Blood is only eye candy, it's not needed. The game wont be any less fun because theres no blood in it. Look at all the screenshots of guys getting shot. If thats not enough for you then theres something wrong. The dust effect will be enough.
|
do you think 2015 would have gone nutts with the blood effects if EA ended up giving them the go-ahead to include blood ?
|
Well rember SoF. SoF just wouldnt of been fun to play if it had no blood. I have a feeling MOHAA might have the same level of raw action like SoF except it wont have blood which in my opinion will take away from the game.

To me blood is just eye-candy, and seeing some red mist fly out of people isn't going to add anything to the game. I'd rather see them put more time into AI (I'm tired of seeing SOF type AI) then giving me some more blood to look at. |

BadScript , did you update the developer Q and A with the answer to this question ?

Not really, cuz I'm lazy as hell. http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif I really should. |
LOL, and maybe advise new users to read the QandA before they post something in the developer forum ... when launch time comes , new users are going to be flooding the forum with this question http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif
|
I was wondering... Why dont they put blood in the game? It would be more realistic if they had blood. Im not complaining, just asking a question. I have MOH on playstation and I think its pretty cool without blood. Fill me in people.

Because they want a teen rating, and EA is the devil. EA is a greedy devil.

Yeah, Im going to start a damn petition! Lemme start a thread. You will see the details. Blood NOT gore.
------------------ http://www.3rdInfantry.homestead.com/files/bladesig.jpg |
Some people just dont listen, and it's really irritating me.
|
then why do you reply , Wookie .
i tried burying this topic and the other one and then you go bring it back up . oh well |
Well, I just registered and started posting on this forum so I had no idea you guys have already voted several times, and for you wookie. If you are so 'irritated' DONT REPLY. idiot.
------------------ http://www.3rdInfantry.homestead.com/files/bladesig.jpg |
bladde ... obviously he has to reply to tell you to stop posting blood topics . but dragging this discussion into other threads is VERY inappropriate especially in this Developer Forum .
put it this way ...if i were a developer for this game , i would get pissed about posts like this , since it is not their say if blood should be included . the more i see posts like this , the more THIS FORUM i would AVOID . when the official EA forums open up , that is where you want to flood with blood topics . which is what i will probably end up doing . but , since in this forum 2015 is nice enough to answer our questions and look at our advices and suggestions , thats all they want to hear . the more they read about the same topic over and over , the more they wont reply . once again if you want to talk about blood for now , talk about it in the general forum or wait till the EA forums open . [This message has been edited by Polaris (edited June 30, 2001).] |
if I were the developer I would threaten to quit everytime someone brought up a annoying subject

Hehehe http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/biggrin.gif "Blood is only eye candy, it's not needed. The game wont be any less fun because theres no blood in it." That is purely YOUR opinion. In MY opinion, seeing each and every leaf on a tree is just eye candy, and isn't needed. I'd much rather they work on a realistic damage model for the characters w/blood, gore, and bullet holes, than spend their time animating leaves. And yes I know now that they ARN'T gonna do it. |
People, try to understand this -- THERE WILL BE NO BLOOD -- no matter what you do -- THERE WILL BE NO BLOOD -- EA does not care about what you want, just money and the fact that -- THERE WILL BE NO BLOOD -- gives them a lower rating, allowing them to sell the game to younger people, making more money.

Why not just make it realistic little pufts the way Rogue Spear does it. We really dont need gore, limbs flying everywhere. Even if it may have happened sometimes (mortars), it's okay.
But if you put in little pufts of blood and set a very nice little Parental control lock or something where you could enable/disable blood I know it's been said before, but by god, that just makes sense. In fact, I DEMAND that someone start a petition that we do just that |

Ummm, DJK, you keep bringing up the leaf thing......well......we never said that, that was an observation made by a press publication. In all actuality our trees don't have every leaf modeled and animated perfectly. It's all a great illusion done by our modellers and texture artists (whom are both very skeeled and wowed all of us the first time we saw the trees in the game :). But rest assured, we are NOT spending all our time animating and modelling every leaf on a tree. If I told you the poly count of those trees, you probably wouldn't believe me ;)p.

Well, I think -DJK- has pretty much lost any point he had...
Now it's down to -- "I want blood, and my closed mindedness won't allow me to look past it and see a great product." -- |
I have one question for all of you guys who want BLOOD. Have any of you guys ever been SHOT? If you have been shot, than you may have a valid point in realism, but if you HAVEN'T, than you have no idea how realistic it may be.I myself have not been shot, and can only argue from what I've seen. And I've never seen any blood splatter or spray from an entry wound. Dust and smoke do however come up. Smoke from the bullet burning through the clothes and dust from the incredible impact on the clothes, which jars loose any dust on yonder clothes. HOWEVER, you will most likely be shooting and seeing the entry wound, unless you throw your gun in front of the target and it goes off and hits Jerry in an area where he isn't wearing thick clothes. So if you're going to argue, for a moot point at that, than stop playing the realism card.
------------------ I'd told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me! WHY DIDN'T YOU BELIEVE ME? |
