'Force Models' Cheat ?
Is 'Force Models' a cheat ? :o
Me myself thinks its a cheat, because in real war, you can't tell the enemy what skin they should wear. :) It's even more a cheat when you give them a red or other heavy coloured skin ! :x There shouldn't be a 'Force Models' button at all in the game ! :( Let everyone wear the skin he likes (if it's realistic) and look at him wearing his skin, don't make it a skin YOU like ! :) The skinner did a lot of work to creat cool skins, and you are just ignoring their cool work ... :( MY CONCLUSION : 'Force Models' is a cheat ! :x |
.
you have a very valid poiint, and i highly agree
|
you have a very valid point, and i highly agree[/quote:917f9]
Thank you ! :D |
.
no problem. I see all the time that people say to use force models with bright color skins. what the hell? its a game. you're supposed to have fun, not cheat so you're the best person.
They should make like 5 servers just for cheaters so they could test their skills against other cheaters to see who's better, becuase i really don't want to play with them. It gets annoiyng. |
agreed, force models is annoying, and i have been shot whilst not moving in a bush, which was irritating, and how else could they have seen me?
People with skill don't need force model. |
.
if you're in a bush, it is very easy to spot someone.
1. if you are far away so there is some fog where you are, the bush is not viewable, but you are. 2. most hiding places in bushed are obvious, so thy could have guessed but then again, you may be right. I know that that has happened to all of us. |
.
woohoo i just turned into a corparal :) on your thread. thanks
|
I have played this game since it first came out and probably had a snow-suit on and didn't know it!! Why would they design this game with force model option and not have a snow-suit for the allies too?!? Kinda stupid. If everyone can force I don't really think its cheating. But don't hide in the bushes! Ha!
|
If you make me wearing a shiny red costume, you think you cant see me better then a really good camo ?
|
well if everyone had orange and yellow suits on viewable to everyone then no itsnot cheating. but some poeple want it more realitic and not so cheap. plus, not everyone can find the skins to do that, which is a good thing
|
Hehe, now we also know how many people cheat :)
The one's who select 'No, it's not a cheat at all !' are the cheaters who do it ! ;) |
I suppose it all depends on your intent, really.
|
I use force models alot and scince i dont usually only play on one side only, i like to pick good skins for the map.... plus i downloaded a couple sweet lookin ones that can be used in all 4 settings (Jungle, desert, urban, snow) i dont think its a cheat.... just kind of a way to see those neat skins you downloaded! :D so dont think of it as a cheat.
|
Then i supose you've selected the second option ;)
|
RIGHT! haha we got them
|
i jsut wish there were a way to track their i[ form this...
|
Of course it's not cheating, it's a deliberate function of the game. Adding custom skins is cheating, though.
I don't see the confusion. |
i dont either... and as to my previous post i mean i[ to be ip
|
Ydiss, with those custom skins you can think it are the bright red skins ...
That's the whole point ... |

I use force models on open server. I think used right they are not a cheat. Its the only way i ever get to see my black hawk down ranger skins that someone made. Thats only allies though. I put the Axis in wermachte soldier. It gives good coverage on on most maps. And the ranger skins is frigin hard to see on maps like southern france. Overall i thnk i'm playing fair seeing how i dont dedicate myself to one team, and the models i have forced are good cammo. Its only a cheat if your using those lame bright skins that mean your enemy cant hide. |
Nope...not a cheat...
If its a gameplay option (not in the console) than how can it be called a cheat??? BTW: I have played with it on and off......havent noticed a diff in my score.....either you sux or you rox in a game...complaining bout cheats doesnt get ya anywhere....try practice... |
[quote:530cb]Its only a cheat if your using those lame bright skins that mean your enemy cant hide.[/quote:530cb]
Agreed And think about it, why doesn't Jolt & Barrysworld and in real wars no-one allows force models ? Ever thought of that WHY ? I did ... |
It ain't cheating to me cuz I'm friggin COLOR BLIND! I can see someone better in black, not yellow or red. Believe me, it sucks.
|
Yea Meat Grinder
Think about the others mate ... Damn, must be really hard to be color blind ... |
[quote:48325]in real wars no-one allows force models[/quote:48325]
hmmmmmm...this is a game with other unrealistic areas also...
|
I disagree...to a point
I use Force Models all the time, but I never use any brightly coloured skins. The only reason I use the feature is because I see a significant difference in my FPS. The more skins my machine has to process, the lower my FPS.
So, I chose option 2. It's only a cheap tactic when using skins like the Ronald McDonald one. That's just retarded. Anyone who knows me in the game knows that I'm pretty big on realism and fair play. To call me a cheater is ludicrous. Zone |
I had an html class once and there's a lot of writing on a whiteboard. Class turns up and after a while a guy tells me he's colourblind to blue. My luck, the only damned markers in the building were all blue. Poor bastard.
|
you're hat severely colorblind/? hahah
anyway,... being colorblid to blue doesnt mean you cant see it, it just means that its a different color to them than the "normal" perception of it. |
Yeah but just with the lighting in the room, and the board and so on, he said it showed up as a kind of very light grey on white.
I dunno, just saying what he said. Luckily he had a mate who could read him all the shit I had to write. |
ah,.. ok
|
i do agree that u have a good point and have backed it up with solid evidence. i would have to say that i agree with you on this one.
|
woa.. talk about rhetoric,.. and also huge blue letters...
|
my dad is partially color blind.. its fun to mess around with him.
as for cheating with force models i use force models and i have used them ever since the game came out. im so use to my airbone and waffen shutze that i cant play wiht anything else.. well maybei throw on the winter suit 8) but still.. i can see why u say its cheating when their using bright colored skins but just plain forced models? and someone said its unrealistic? sorry.. i just dont find a group of allies containg some sas guy, two mannons, and a group of airbornes and army realistic |
haha is this turning into a colro blind thread?
ill make a thread for all of you color blind people |
I force models. But only the ranger for allies and the waffenss_shutz for axis. Everyone looks the same and it gets very confusing with out advatars.
|
well,.. i could see why you might want to use force models to see your skin, but we're talking about using it for finding people
|
Yea Akuma, but you don't use Avatars if i understand your post ...
|
Thats right no advatars. Everyone is green... hard stuff.
|
green... hmmm
|
Spoken as an admitted cheater, I always force models. Always have. Back in Quake3, I went as a blue grunt. I was easier for all to see, and many wondered, but everyone else was easier for me to see and frag. Frags a frag. There's winners, and there's the dead. In MOH, my enemies are either McDonald's guys or Target employees. Both, very easy to see. If you think that many players don't use this exploit, you're fooling yourself, and are at a disadvantage. (if the score means anything to you, and it might not) Imagine if you were in a real war, and someone invented a spyglass that could detect, and enhance, a certain dye, that only was in your enemies' uniform. Would you use this technology to gain an edge? I think you would. The inventor would be a hero! (kinda like night vision goggles)
