Think its cheating to play in 3rd person? I tried it....under a dif name, and i do quite well. I do all the time but still........cept there is one thing, the crosshair is a lil off and u have to aim a lil low. But other than that it makes the game soooooooooooooooo much different. Yall should try it. Should i post how to do it or u guys rather not me say?

3rd Person View doesn't work in multiplayer. It says something like 'toggle cg_3rd_person is cheat protected'

Its not cheating since its a part of the game. The crosshair is f*cked up and its almost impossible to sniper. But it does let you see behind your self a little bit.

I know....but i made new crosshairs so the aim is perfect.

It only works on servers with out any patches because it is classed as a cheatcode by EA.

It can be toggled on and off which means you could use it to look over walls, so yes... It is cheating. So no, please don't post it here.

P.S. Im not gonna post how to do it (without the game saying u cant cuz the server is "cheat protected") because i have heard now that its a cheat. Sry peeps......ttyl

O yea and by the way.....it cant be toggled on and off during gameplay...impossible.

Thanks to Onar for sending me details, I'll be working on this one as well as informing EA.

I have confirmed you can use 3rd person view with v1.11 on cheat protected servers.

It actually looks damn good for spectate mode, too bad they didn't use it for that.

Wrong Ydiss. It is not cheating. It adds to your situational awareness much like IRL.

In Tribes 1&2 it is a default toggle for the same reason. I feel its only a cheat (in that it gives you an unfair advantage) if nobody else knows how to use it.

I know Tribes != MOH.AA but it is a vital feature in Tribes and is used often.

You know Onor I don't think that the third person view can be done in Multi Player mode .

Anyways, I agree with Ydiss. If it allows you to view over walls that you couldn't do in 1st person, it would be deemed unfair.

Personally, I think all server admins should set the spectator view-angle to in-eye. It is possible to do but it's server-side only.

Add seta cg_3rd_person 1 to the end of yur newconfig.cfg file in the main folder. LET THE COMPLAINING BEGIN!
