Did you guys catch that?? They are my favorite band, and as soon as Jimmy Fallon started whistling, I knew it was going to be Guns... I was friggin pumped!! Too bad it's only Axel and Dizzy, I really want to see the original band. Oh well, it still rocked...that was the best closing act ever in the history of the VMA's, what a huge surprise. Man, I'm still pumped. I don't like the fact that the rest of the band are all goth-like though, it reminds me too much of Marilyn Manson. Axel can still sing his a$$ off though. I'm definitely going to the concert when they tour here in the US.

I hate Guns'n Roses these days. I've now three ties had ticket to their concert, and everytime they have cancelled it, with most lame excuses.

They were the best... It's funny, because once I heard him Whistling, I knew it was the song "Patience"...and right away I thought " Holy shit it's GnR". But I knew it wasn't going to be any of the original band...except Axel and Dizzy, because I keep up with the news on the band. Slash has tried to meet up with Axel, but he won't hear it...he's really being a jerk about the whole thing. I don't want to see a bunch of odd-looking guitar players walking around with masks and makeup on... I want Slash, Matt, Izzy, Gilby, Duff, Dizzy... I am still hoping that some day there will be a true reunion.

Yeah, the performance was a little disappointing, axle's voice ain't what it used to be. What's the deal with the assclown band members, they looked like they escaped from a marilyn manson concert.

They were cool as hell to see playing again, but they sound like crap now, honestly heh

secondly, in the post after youd said youve never even heard of them.....so how would you if they even "suk" or not?

anyway, Axl, duff, izzy, slash, Matt (prefer him to adler). Thats what GNR was all about. I wouldnt pay to see them now, i would only want to see the original line up.
Slash did say in a recent interview (about 2 years ago..err not so recent) that he would come back if the original line up came back. he says he wont play in a second rate GNR. And the group will only reform if axl cuts his crap about changing the music style. cant see that happening, and its a damn shame too.
Guns N Roses are up there with the best, regardless of what others think.

i'm a huge G&R, i own the majority of their cds...but i thought they sucked mad pole on the VMA's . I know it was live and all and live stuff never sounds like the stuff on cd. But wow, you would think after 10 years of having these songs Axel would get the lyrics down and sing with the music hake:

But you have to understand, Axel runs around a lot on stage, and sings while he is doing it. It's not like the boy bands or some other rock bands that have their mikes turned down really low so you canbarely hear their real vocals, only the background music. Axel has always had many voice problems in the past, because of the constant drinking and smoking. But he did sound pretty good...for a live perfromance anyway. It's not compared to the CD's he does of course, but you have to understand that he must go through a ton of sessions before he gets the lyrics to sound right. On stage, it's just Axel's unique, raw voice.

Yeah that too, i cannot sing while running, especially doing my spot on axel rose voice. At least he did this famous shuffle dance, for like 2 seconds.

cool I only have one cd....because when I got it that was basically the first time I knew what a cd was....

Here's a big list of my favorites that have been on the radio, go check em out on Kazaa or something, they all are great songs...I expecially like Civil War...check that one out first.
