Map Settings for Tourney:
Rounds
Round 1: 2 groups of 16 players
Round 2: 1 group of 16 players
Round 3: 1 group of 8 players

Map Rotation
Round 1: Random
Round 2: Random
Round 3: Random

Mod
A custom mod is used that only allows the use of the sniper rifle and Pistol whip only.

Duration
Maps will last 20 minutes each

Rules:
Sniper Tournament:
Rules-
Before each round, a random map will be chosen. Players should enter the server to warm-up before match, server will go live 5minutes after players are due to be in the server. The admin will restart the map, upon restart he will call LIVE on restart, there will be one restart and tournament will go live. Upon the restart, no player is permitted leave the server for any reasons at all, they will be disqualified no matter the reason.

FFA rules apply. Free For all, every man for him self. Scoring will be done by best ratio of the top 8 players of Round1 servers, 16 will advance (8 from each Round1 servers). For Round2 players, of top 8 players again will advance out of the 16, the 8 best ratios will advance to the final round. Then concluding with 3 winners, gold, silver, and bro

In the case of a tie between two players in the final round, those two players will advance to a 5minute death round including only those two players.


In-game rules:

Players found using glitches or going underground will be automatically disqualified from the contest. This abuse of the game will not be tolerated. Custom skins are not allowed, every player may be asked to submit a screen shot of another participant from the tournament. Any use of any other mod such as


Selection:
Players are selected by two factors:
1) Reputation- The attitude their clan is known for as well as their own. Others things include clan record as well as individual achievements.
2) Leader submission- each clan can submit up to 3 players to participate in the sniper tournament. Leaders should include why they choose these players. Each clan will be given a fair chance to be represented and all clans are looked at equally.


If you have any questions or comments or wish to submit player(s) in the tournament for your clan please send an email to snipertour1@hotmail.com with the following information (the brackets/website will be up soon and a url will be sent to you):

1) Player or players game handle (name):
2) Players contact info (email and instant messaging service (aim or msn):
3) 2-3 reasons why you feel your player or players should participate (nothing major just brief reason).

wiat just cause I'm not in a clan i can't join. That sucks. I took on lysis under my fake name :-) and did pretty well against him as he did to me biggrin: Quick someone let me in thier clan and put me up lol.

If this is an invitational, then why do people have to submit players for it?

Because...
 

They submit players because there is no possible way that a few individuals could know all the best snipers of MOH and we like to give others a fair chance. Also even though they submit does not mean that they will play even though each clan will be giving a fair chance to have at least one rep for their clan. For example for some on the big known clans like Gx or EcE those clans have 1 or more great snipers. All clans that submit first we will try to have at least one player play for their clan.

*BTW custom scopes and crosshairs are allowed.

I will inform my Sniper devision. I expect at least 2 to opt in on this. Will you be limiting it to 1 player per clan?

Yes custom crosshairs and scopes may be used. The tournament is on two days 21st and 28th if you can not make it tough luck, hope you can.
Yes players not in a clan are allowed to play but you must send an email to admin with your info and 3 reason why you should participate, not hard.

ALso to reply to what Waffen SS said, if you have ever played a big tournament like squadgames man you would know that people dont camp when you have 15 other snipers around you and thats not how it works, play and find out for yourself.

wintersforge? anyways i will talk to cethin about joining this. last tourney i entered was a fucking joke. all tourneys and ladders are becoming a fucking joke. everyone follows one tactic... camp to get kills. i hate it, and im sure everyone else does. no one wants to play campers. specially on public servers cough cough EcE cough cough. i probably wont go in for that reason.. campers

I totally agree anti.... All ladders and tourneys are jokes. Every clan uses the same thing and same tactic. Camp with shotguns behind doors.... I wish someone would make a tournament with no shotguns or rockets. We will see who is all that then....

True most ladders and tournaments consist of campers, but actually when I played squadgames tournament there were very few if any. Also considering there will be 15 other snipers other than yourself tell me how one could camp for very long before getting his behind sniped. Also not on having a no shotgun no rocket tournament in the future, I suggest you guys wait see how it does then see if your interested :). Cya around... campers not permitted hehe. I'll be honest; I'd join, but I don't trust other people when it comes to a torney. If someone uses a custom scope/skin to give them a slight advantage over the opponent, then what fun is it for the other player? I'm not saying a bunch of cheaters are going to join the tourney, but when it comes to competition in something like this, I would need proof before I could play, you know?

i havent seen a scope yet that gives an unfair advantage. considering its a sniper tourny i would suggest the majority of people ould be using a custom scope they like to use. do the same and theres no excuses.

Custom scopes and crosshairs are allowed. Custom skins are not but that is why we might ask for one screen from advancing players, some will use them without anyone knowing but if your using them as well what is the big deal just play to have fun and play against great competion.

I've seen a scope that takes the black away from around the actual scope. So, you can see the whole screen and not just the lens you're looking through.

I really need to play AA server more often, I mean lol I have never heard of this Soviet guy or even seen a lot of you that post on the forum. JUST WONDERING, has anyone heard of MSC Sniperwars? What about good snipers like EcE Gatz, Lysis, BoRo ChryzM or Ody, 9mm, Ironmen, Sniper-X, Gx Rookey. Anyone know of these guys, just wondering. gosh thats the second post iv seen here that soviet would win by default. No offense Soviet is great, but its kinda lame to make posts like that zoner. you know the playground is a lil bigger then one sandbox and I know of some pretty good snipers outside of Kaos. I wouldn't assume squat..

Yea there is so much talent out there... throw 32 to snipers some of the best in one tournament. only 1 will stand, lets just find out.
