hey, sorry i haven't posted in a while...i know you guys have missed me muey mucho. now, i've been playing A LOT of medal of honor the past 2 weeks. i mean alot...76 hours worth...its been crazy. but over the past few days i've noticed something. i've been averaging the record of 45-15 in just about every server with about 15 minutes going. and well, the only reason why i have gotten smoked those 15 times is because i use various weapons (usually the m-1) but sometimes i notice on servers with or even without mods you sometimes dont hit what you are shooting and aiming at. i know there is a "jedi" mod or something of that nature that secures the problem, but this is a bothersome. i've also noticed in many servers how axis weapons are puny in the 'power' factor....i know this because well...i've taken out a lot of axis that have been pumping led into my skull and not getting much notice. give me your opinions...thanks.

heres a opinion for ya...you gota be the most full of your self player it was ever my displeasure to come into contact with.i see your posts and all you can talk about is how good you are..what a load...i just saw your post where the guy got his new computer..sounded like a fine machine to me...but all you could do was try to make the guy feel like he made a huge mistake for buying a p 4....i guss its just impossible to conceive you might have missed...words escape me to describe what a collosel jackass you are so ill just leave it at that...BUTCHER..ONE MORE POINT...i dont know how everyone else feels but it ..didnt hurt my feelings a bit that you havent posted for a while...an even longer while would be better yet.

Right, I'm gonna go against the grain and actually answer the lad's post...
Right, without trying to be overly critical, you say you get 45-15 ratios over 15 minutes (Which isn't actually that fantastic, even with an M1) and you say later that you are "THE SHIT" and you fail to grasp the this concept.

You miss because you miss. There is no other way around it. The computer doesn't make a mistake. You aim, you fire, you miss. As simple as you put it.

The physics of the game depend on your movement, your stance, the weapon and the way you use it. Every weapon will have varying degrees of innaccuracy at certain distances, even when you are motionless and you fire the first round. Some, such as the rifles, will be on the spot on the first shot. Some, such as the SMGs, will still be slightly off-centre.

It's a concept that you should have grasped within 76+ hours of playing the game, so I wonder about the level of ability of the servers that you play on. Maybe you should find better opposition.

Yet again, your lack of experience shows. The Jedi mod does nothing to improve the over-all accuracy of any weapon, it just makes the game OTT. All the guns play like Quake guns (well, in fact they make Quake look like pinball). So, I'm not sure what you mean in the previous quote.

Purely your imagination. This kind of thing was discussed back in the demo days and it has since been thrown out. It's all about knowing each weapon's strengths. Any quality player will tell you they may prefer one or the other team's weapons, but they will also be able to perform well with either.

Yet again, I suggest you find better opposition.

I don't know but anyone who relies on a mod that makes all the weapons more accurate needs more practice. There's nothing wrong with playing a modded server (after all if you enjoy who am I to judge?) but to claim you're "THE SHIT" when you admit you need help with accuracy is a little off.

Maybe it's lag affecting him. I'm sure it's been discussed here and other places many times where your crosshairs are dead centre (enemy a couple of virtual feet away) you empty a clip and nothing, they turn around and smoke you.

The other night something even more peculiar happened to me, there was a snipe, can't remember his name now, who was always crounched. I had him cornered, he literally could not move and I fired my smg at him (he was in the tunnel bit on Algiers), emptied the ckip, had to reload (on a CKR server) and it was only then that he actually died.

It happened again on Stalingrad, he was right in the corner at the back behind the sand bags, I ran up the stairs onto that concourse and he hadn't seen me, emptied my smg into his crouching (and not moving) shape, nothing, while I was reloading he got me.

Another guy a couple of seconds later, posted "X - how did I miss you" after suffering the same fate.

I can account for most missed kills as being my wonky aim, or where there's a lot of movement on lag, but twice, the same guy and he wasn't moving, not dodging - definitely not enough for 32 bullets to miss on CKR is too much of a coincidence.

I've been playing for about 5 months, this sort of thing has happened to me frequently, with all weapons. Very frustrating at times, magnified by the fact if you say "I just put 20 bullets into the back of your head", you get the online equivalent of a blank stare. People just assume you missed.

well if ya really wanna see where you're shooting, try using the paintball mod. it changes bullet holes in wood, etc. to bright colored paint spots. I suggesst anyone who constantly misses try it, it might help them realize how bad their aim is. also might help newbies get used to the accuracy differences between weapons. you can just stand still and shoot a wall and see where the shot actually hit in reference to your crosshairs.

I will agree however that on occassion, that werid thing where those of us who are good players empty a clip on a guy right in front of them and he manages not to die does happen, and it's annoying as hell eek:
