NYC accident

A minute of Silence!!

If you are still shaken by the horrifying scenes of September 11, please observe 2 minutes of silence for the 5,000 civilian lives lost in the New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania attacks.

While we're at it, let's have 13 minutes of silence for the 130,000 Iraqi civilians killed in 1991 by order of President Bush Sr. Take another moment to remember how Americans celebrated and cheered in the streets.

Now another 20 minutes of silence for the 200,000 Iranians killed by Iraqi soldiers using weapons and money provided to young Saddam Hussein by the American government before the great eagle turned all its power against Iraq.

Another 15 minutes of silence for the Russians and 150,000 Afghans killed by the Talibaan troops who were supported and trained by the CIA. Plus 10 minutes of silence for 100,000 Japanese killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the Atomic bombs dropped by the USA.

We've just kept quiet for one hour: two minute for the Americans killed in NY, DC, and Pennsylvania, 58 minutes for their victims throughout the world.

If you are still in awe, let's have another hour of silence for all those killed in Vietnam, which is not something Americans like to admit. Or for the massacre in Panama in 1989, where Americans troops attacked poor villagers, leaving 20,000 Panamanians homeless and thousands more dead. Or for the millions of children who have died because of the USA embargo on Iraq and Cuba. Or the hundreds of thousands brutally murdered throughout the world by USA-sponsored civil wars and coups d'etat (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, El Salvador to name a few).

Now, let's talk about terrorism, shall we?

Add : this was a copy paste from another persons writing.

happy now ?

Anybody with half a heart should be spending this day reflecting and paying respect. Leave this "Rage Against The Machine" rhetoric for tomorrow.

I'm not saying that your views are invalid. You have every right to voice an opinion. Just not today.

I'm in the worst mood.

If i remember rightly that was some dumbass american news station showing footage from a few monhs before the wtc attacks happened. The footage was old and the news station boardcast it trying to insinuate that they were i the streets celebrating. There was a few uk journalists there and they didn;t see any of them doing this.

Noone cheered, but they do wave those flags and scream for Afghani death, etc. It's just middle easterners have the good sense to be overt about their hatred so we common slow americans know exactly who our enemies are.

If you guys hate america so much, why not start an american embargo. Dont watch any american tv programming or american movies. Dont visit american web sites or play american video games. Or even better, dont buy any computers that utilize american components or technology. Whats that you say? You dont have that kind of commitment? You would rather just throw rocks and ignore the fact that you live in a glass house too? Hmm. Jealousy green is not a flattering color.

Did i say that i hate america? nooo.

Im just telling the facts what are going around the world past few years.
I like american films and couple of series ( not all of them are good hake: ). One thing what makes me little bit uncomfy is that USA thinks they are "big and invincible". That attitude angers most of the people in europe.

In finland we have thing called "reilu meininki"

Pfc.Green 09-11-2002 12:49 PM

Well coming on here, pissing on the U.S., calling the terror attacks in NYC and accident, putting up false numbers of dead. sure makes you sound anti-american. You should have thought about what you were posting before you posted that shit on a day of remebrance...I hope many fat drunk russians come to your home and shit on your door step.

Low spark 09-11-2002 12:58 PM

The original post was well said. We American's spend to much time on self pity. I am taking a moment of silence to day for those that died last 9/11. But I also will include a moment for all the innocents in the world that have been killed for no reason other than hate.

I agree with this guy. ^^

As much as America is a great country, for entertainment etc. And other exports, you guys have a blind vision. Don't get all up in arms about what this guy is saying. Admit it, while your country is a very helpful nation in some places, it does have its drawbacks and has made errors when taking any kind of military action. But I'm sure most countries would, if they took as much action as the U.S has. So, I agree with both sides of the arguments, cept' I do believe the Americans on THIS thread, i.e Pest & Pfc.Green, are being a little narrow-minded.....But then again, Nappo, this day is, obviously, a depressing day for many and you probably should have waited til' at least tomorrow.

BTW, Pfc Green, as much as this guy pisses you off, don't ever fuck with Europe like that, I really don't appreciate the quasi-racist comments.

reilu meininki, huh? And what, pray tell, does THAT mean?

Does it mean "I copied and pasted my post because my english is obviously not that good and I'm a plagiarising prick"?

You didn't write that original post!! I did a search on the first line of your post and it came up in posts from all over the world, in .pdf files, and in other media!! Google gave me 10 full pages of results on "If you are still shaken by the horrifying scenes of September 11, please observe 2 minutes of silence for the 5,000 civilian lives lost in the New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania attacks."

Here's just one link I found: http://ring_man.tripod.com/A_MINUTE_OF_SILENCE.htm

Look familiar??

You stupid, unoriginal bastard! Come back when you have a thought rattling around in your empty Finnish head that's your own.

DAMN, I'm in a BAD mood today...

YOUR A ASS .... wanna let me know what that means??

Literally you are saying "your" (posession) "A" (classification?) "ass" (self explanatory)

Divingdw 09-11-2002 01:47 PM

OMG, it angers you? WTH! Why the fuck should you even CARE how we feel about ourselves. It's not like we are coming over to Finland and blowing your asses up because you have a certain mindset among you! It doesnt hurt you at all for us to be self-centered and egotistic about things.

You dipshits talk about us killing civilians when we do everything in our power to avoid civilian deaths. For fucks sake, you mention Vietnam, when the fucking civilians are shooting at us. To me, if they put themselves in that situation, they arn't civilians.

You show me reports of civilian Deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan where we intentionally killed civilians and I'll shut my mouth about it. We free a fucking country from oppression, and people find ways that we are the fucking asses.

I think we learned our moral lesson from the Atomic Bombs, which occured over 50 years ago. We were at war, and we warned them it was coming if they didn't end the war. How hard is it to sign a peace agreement when your getting your asses kicked? Back then, we didn't have the technology to be precise and take out specific targets, we just dropped the bombs and hoped they landed close. Thats what EVERY fucking country with planes and bombs did. We were just smart enough to make a bomb that will destroy tons of shit. Then we had to get rid of it cause it wasn't fucking right to kill millions of people. We are sorry for what happened, but we can't go back and fucking tell our fucking president from 55 years ago to not drop that bomb. We had to end the war so we can stop Hitler, and we had to do it quick, and our president decided that the best way was to annhilate as many people as possible and scare the shit outta them. It worked, but I wish we didnt have to stoop to the level we did. As far as I'm concerned, those atomic bombs saved a race. But no one EVER looks at the bright side of things. They always try to find a reason that we are the bad guys.

But, to tell you the truth, I think you're just jealous. If you care so much how I think, then maybe you should try to make friends rather than enemies. Otherwise, you shouldn't give a flying fuck how we think! We arn't a bunch of war-mongering, kill all other because they are inferior type of people. You ever wonder why Bush is taking so long to invade Iraq? Maybe because the country is split by it, half the people think we should, half don't think we should. Because we arn't all a bunch of war mongering idiots. And even part of the half that do want us to go is because what they have been told is going on. And only a small portion of them think that because they are war mongering idiots.

I'm hoping you hate me by now, mainly because I don't like idiots who try to drag others down because of jealousy.

about Iraq-

who was it that turned off radar sites so US radar seeking missiles would hit civilians instead? certainly not the US

about Iran-

the war would have happened either way, with or without US support

about Afghanistan-

agree, if the CIA stayed the fuck out there would be no Taliban, the USSR would have "civilized" the Afghans by force and they would become like the other ex. USSR republics after the collapse of the USSR

about Hiroshima-

The Japs were fanatical and ready to fight to the death, an invasion was estimated to cost a million allied casualties and most of the adult population of Japan, I think 100, 000 is nothing compared to most of Japan.

about Panama-

Noriega's goon squads were the ones who started it by terrorizing the families of servicemen who lived in Panama bases under a TREATY with Panama. I saw a show about the SEALS in the prelude it showed how Noriegas goons stopped an SUV and dragged a US officer out and shot him in front of his family! People who can do that deserve nothing short of death!
