We had a poll recently on our website asking our players and visitors who are the most annyoing players in public play?

1) Team Killers
2) Spawn Campers
3) Bazooka users
4) Leaners
5) Newbies
6) Glitch Exploiters

What do you think, and why?

I would say team killers, because they really do destroy a good game, especially if it is OBJ or round-based. When you say spawn campers, are you talking about the kind that hide in the Allies Higgins boat on Omaha as an Axis or the kind that stay in a close region of the opposing side's spawn point? Bazooka users don't bother me, they are a part of the game. Leaners don't bother me because I am one (not a lean-strafer). Newbies don't bother me; I have fun killing them without trying. Glitch exploiters are second in line of annoying players.

may i ask an hoenst question, Leaning, Why hate it besides for semi-Unpossiblity, offcourse they could lean, jsut not all the time.

Are you against me and my Five Button Mouse[Which is set up so it is only comfortable to lean] or are you upset about the people who bind there keys?

The only peope I hate, are those that hide (Camp) in one spot and shoot people if they happen to walk by. This really pisses me off and slows down the game so much. ARRRGGGGHHH

1,2,3 and 6 should have their hands cut off evil: i don't see anything wrong with leaning, unless they're running at the same time then they just look idiotic. C D i think he's referring to campers who look for an easy kill. i've spawned few times only to be cut down b4 i can even move. when sniping i at least give u that chance if i happen to see u spawn but i ain't gonna camp out at one.

A Spawn Camper, usually a sniper, will scope a likely spawn spot. When a player respawns, he just pulls the trigger. Spawn campers, in a large enough room, can make dozens of kills from just one spot. Of course, once I get nailed by one, I make it my mission to erdicate them, by covering their most likely location.

As for leaning, many players do it, including some of the best clans on the Net, which is why I am not surprised there would be resistance to it. Naturally leaning is impossible in real life, and the game designers never intended it to be used in the way that it is, i.e. in open combat. The best leaning players and clans are conspicously absent from Realism ladders, since of course leaning with a shotty is mostly ineffective.

Newbies are not particularly annoying, unless in a round based or objective match they are the last ones alive only b/c they've been hiding all game. Its funny to watch them trying doors that wont open.

Personally, I'd have to agree that Team Killers are the worst. A determined Team Killer, who is most often a teenage boy looking for attention, can ruin an entire game if the server admin is not there. My personal policy is that I give a tk'er three strikes, then I go after him at all costs. Its no longer fun for a TKer if he has to deal with skilled and determined adversary who is gunning for them and cant make the easy, cowardly, sneaky kills.

TKers are just evil!

glitchers are next in line, one time a TDM on Destroyed Village became an objective map with respawns (axis: get under map, Allies: defend the house that leads to the under-the-map)

followed closely by spawn campers (especially when axis has allies outnumbered 2-1 on Remagen and they push to where you can't spawn without being shot right away)

lean-strafers don't bother me too much but I have to stop laughing before I can play again.

Bazookas are a useful weapon if used in conjunction with squad tactics (ie. rifleman opens door and bazooka man blasts inside room, faster than nade so enemy can't run away)

newbies are only annoying when they get their ass lost on an objective map or don't know how to defuse a bomb.

Anyways Team Killers suck c0ck. Spawn campers can get annoying too. And glitchers should be shot. Everything else if fine.

i would have to say that the people i have the most are spawn campers number 1 followd by leaners (binding keys), then regular campers. I usually only play on sniper only servers, and when people spawn kill, u really dont have a chance, when they bind keys, it is 3 times as difficult to hit them vs regular unbinded players, and reguler campers just cause i have always coming around a corner and getting my head blown off, time and time again.

Hmmm I spose I hate teamkillers first, closely followed by good players lol specially good players using f*cking high visibilty skins, which I really hate!!!! On our server they are allowed at the minute so cant do anything about it, really winds me up, did you notice? lol

Bazooka users, leaners and noobs are all exceptable as this is public servers mostly and all in-game shtuff so np.

I dont really hate campers that much because this is a favorite passtime of mine along with shooting people off ladders (ho ho ho) but I do hate `base-campers` in objective mode when they should be attacking objective grrr ;)

Well, seeing as though I only play on good servers like aa.com and =DOA=, I really don't have any complaints. There're no team killers (no FF), a few spawn killers but not many, a lot of leaners but that's not so bad, and we were all newbies at one point right?

My only complaint (and it's a small one) would be smack-talkers. There's no need. If you kill me, fine. There's no need to spout yer mouth off about me being "owned" etc. Just play the stupid game and keep the wisecracks to yourself.

The most I'll say to another player is "I owe you one" or "Nice shot". I really wish that EA didn't include "I've seen french school girls shoot better" or "Come back when you've had some target practice". That's stuff is just weak.


Zone

Team killers are the worst, they ruin all games and is a "fun killer". If you want a free for all, go to one of those servers but stay out of team and objective matches

The second worse is the Spawn Campers or Snipers set up at Spawn points. What kind of fun is that? That's taking advantage of the game mechanics and is another "fun killer."



I have no problems with "regular" campers however, in war if you found a great, defensible position to hide in, it up to your enemies to "dig you out of it." (The Japanese on Okinawa and Iwo Jima come to mind)

As for "leaners", I myself am no good at it, I can't run, lean and shoot at the same time but I have nothing against players who can.

If you were charging an enemy position I think you'd be running and dodging (leaning) yourself to become a hard target for the enemy to hit wouldn't you? (I think some people just whine too much.)

I read in a Game spy forum that the developers for Spearhead asked the general populous what they'd like to see in the game. One of the things the developers said they'd do (at least he said they would,) was disable leaning while running. So this should make some of you people out there happy.

if they do get rid of leaning, this will change the whole dynamic of the game. Hopefully they add the "prone" feature? I cant wait for the new weapons and maps in Spearhead cool: eek:

yeah, my vote is definately team killers. nothing is more annoying than some dork who ruins an objective match by taking out his entire team. I've even been stuck with ones who do the grenade-drop-team-switch variety on servers with FF off as well. LAME!!

second most annoying is people who exploit map glitches. and of course deny it even though you're in spectator watching them running around under the map. of course other cheats are lame as well. -- wallhacks/easy visability skins/etc.

I'd place spawn campers next on the annoyance list, only because once you know where they are you can take them out (and know to keep an eye on them for repeat offending).

one I want to add that wasn't mentioned.... CHAT FLOODERS!! you know, the guy who says the same thing 20 times in a row and won't shut up. excessive smack talkers are right behind them in annoyance... saying one or two things is acceptable, but anything more than that just gets stupid. or saying "BS!" every single time you die... as if you're too good to die or something?

I won't complain about any particular weapon usage since they're all in the game and you're allowed to use them if they aren't disabled on the server. sure it gets annoying when an entire enemy team is using bazookas, but it's nowhere near as bad as the TKers or cheaters. same goes with leaning while running, it doesn't make them any harder to kill so why complain other than the fact that you might be laughing too hard at how funny they look to actually aim at them biggrin:

Prone would be an awesome feature...and it'll be nice to see no more Charlie Chaplin look-alikes running around. Leaning should still be incorporated while standing still, though. Very useful tactic.

I believe the post by the developer stated that it was only leaning WHILE running that was removed. Leaning in general is still there since it's an integral part of the game and a useful tactic for sniping or checking around corners....

that cheered me up!!! at least im 5th on the list of hates lol, thats if you class me as a newbie still? been playing for 2 weeks now! but i agree with the team killers, its a very well chucking nades all over the place when you start a game, but wots up with these people? cant they see me? coz the bloody enemy always does!!!!
wot i would like to know is would i be recognised as new when playing? i kill 1 or 2 enemy in a game (10 a side) but more often than not get killed with my 1st 1 on 1!! i dont seem to be able to dodge like they do, although it looks the same! i could kill more i think but i dont like to hang around hiding, prefer to get in there, even if i do end up watching the rest of the game lol
ps where can i get a aimbot?? pmsl (i fell for that one!)

Team killers are at the top of my list, but to fix that I dont play on servers with ff on very much.

Mullins if you are a noob and want to get stuck in, use a shotgun and charge the enemy down, even if you cant dodge and weave, when you come under fire at close range just press jump or duck button, it makes you alot harder target, as most seasoned players will aim only for your head.

The reason why your only getting 1 or 2 kills is prolly cus your using an smg or machine gun which are difficult to use well.

Geez use a rocket, your a noob its in the noob handbook, your allowed, your only noob once hehehe

I can't verify this but I could have sworn I read that "prone position" was going to be an added feature.

And Jennyfur was right. I read that the "lean" would only be disabled while running, everything else is normal.

After reading all of Jennyfur's post, I'd have to agree with all that she wrote about annoying players.
