Anti-Cheat Mod
 

Hi all, were gonna be setting up our new rented server and would like to install an anti cheat mod.

How does it work? What exactly does it prevent? What doesnt it prevent?
We'd want to block aimbots, wallhacks, telefragging, etc., and if possible ground cheats.

This is more for when we'll host a public room so there is a level playing feild for our visitors. We trust that clan players dont cheat but this mod we hope will catch the 1 percent that do.

if you know of a good one please let us know where to get it and installation instructions if not included.

Aimbots dont work where the hell have you been?

I should also mention the need to prevent the glow in the dark skins with the big red target's on them ;-)

Currently the only good anti-cheat mod is in Beta test, there are none available that work effectively. Keep an eye on these forums for Dogmeat's DMz Dogtag mod.

The game wouldnt need an anti cheat Mod if EA actaully finished the sodding thing!!!

e.g The glow skins wouldnt work if the Pure server switch worked!!

The ought to look at RTCW as see how its done! thewy have punkbuster integration all everything.

Also with the impending release of the addon, I wonder if the assholes have fixed it yet (I doubt it)

whilst playing cs for the past 6 months i've met lots of interesting script0s and hax0rs who have converted working aimbots, wallhacks, openGL hooks, cvar bypasses and all that nasty shit form CS to MOHAA, and for the record, i have a glow-in-the-dark skin that works regardless of this pure server thing.

People would just insert the mod into the original pk3's.

PURE has been fixed in Spear Head and it WILL prevent ALL glow in dark skins.

Yes, but it does not stop someone from performing the steps necessary to bypass the no-fog / honesty.cfg bypass hack...

They took steps to make sure that no extra pk3's could be added (CRC check) but didn't add one for the main app. Sad, imo...

So with no added pk3's no mods? Is that what your saying?

When sv pure is enabled on the server. You will only be able to use pk3 files the server has. so if your server has the mods then you can use them.

There is also the possibility of voting sv pure on or off. so you could be playing. Then when someone thinks someone is using a cheat you could enable svpure.

This is all speculation until the final game is released

I don't mind it trying to stop cheats.....but pulling the plug on my crosshair, blood and hud mods will really piss me off.

these settings are now all cheat protected in spearhead.... i assume in the same way SP godmode is.... so they are tied to the "cheats" setting of a server. reverse engineering is a big step up from dropping a pk3 cheat into a directory so its a big step up. as for the rest of it we will have to wait and see how PURE works as spearhead demo is a locked down version so it is never intended to be modded.

Dogmeat no force models

Our squad has an anti cheat officer that looks after al this for us. If you want his details let me know and I will ask him to get in touch. We have helped other Clans in the past and are doing so even now.

We are absoltuley commited to stopping cheats to the point of not playing Clans that have been caught cheating in the past. We simly wont play them.

There are already cheats appearing that disable sv_pure, and bypass pk3 checking. It is already done for the spearhead demo, and when the final release is there, I am sure they will get around it soon enough.

There are some kind of mod to prevent anti wallhack,or no fog it the honesty.cfg,but you have to have rcon(remoted console).And for the glow skin there a program you can download it's called delator.just search it here in aa.We have it in our server GOOD LUCK And ban does cheaters but first bash 'em.

whooaaa where did that come from Blitz? We have one of the tightest anti cheat servers on the net and also one of the most dedicated Anti Cheat Officers. His job is just to find cheats and expose/stop them.

I dont appreciate you belittleing our efforts. Tell me what you are talking about. We can't stop cheats unless we all know ablout them.

As our server software states. We catch illegal skins and hacks. If we get Tker's we are reliant on the help of those that use the servers to tell us abou them.

We are testing ne software that logs all people on out servers and we will be having an area on our site where they are names and the proof from the logs is published. Again showing cheats have no place on our servers.

We are waiting on the new version of autokick from Crow King. Hope fully that will stop TKer's as well as it may look for minus scores.

As far as lag goes humm we have had lagg but only a little and 1 of then is a Barry Server. We are working directly with Barry's World to implement new Anti Cheat software onto there servers I should think our Anti Cheat policy will not fail.

Keep up the good work, you know we have our work cut out for us until EA gives us the help we need.

Hey thanks for the offer. I am new to this server admin job with my clan and I would love some help in stopping cheaters. what is the best way to get into contact with your anti-cheat officer?
