i know, but they were scripted to stay there. They were there before u entered the beach, but do the dead bodies that were killed after u entered the beach stay or disapear like in most games? if they disappear that must suck and this is not a tiney exception. To see the dead bodies, its like a fun factor or a major eyecandy.

Yah, I hope they stay too....

It should be like SOF, where you get the option to choose how long they stay (including forever).

Mad Dog 08-09-2001 01:12 AM

The bodies should stay becuase of a stealth factor like in "No One Lives Forver" and "Deus Ex" where if a patroling guard sees a dead body he'll set off an alarm.

superdude 08-09-2001 01:39 AM

looking for an answer 2015! cuz if the bodies dont stay, its not a minor detail, it really takes away form the game and any1 who thinks otherwise should be shot. well maybe not shot but its realy stupid to have em disapear.

arCTic$nip3r 08-09-2001 01:42 AM

if the bodies dont stay, i'll kick ur dog

In multiplayer they should have a shorter time for dissapearing, because that may cause some lag. But if they don't dissapear, the consequence is a hightened RAM requirement to play the game.

the bodies better stay after death because i love shanking dead bodies in games like CS and DoD. http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif

This topic is starting to frighten me.

Obergrenadier 08-09-2001 05:48 AM

well i would like dead bodies to stay there as long as they do not decrease FPS too much. the most important thing in my opinion is FPS, not graphics or 'eye candy'. i think you can only have 80 or so units visible to you at any given time one the Q3 engine, so i am not sure if we want to decrease that number with a bunch of dead bodies... http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/icons/icon28.gif

arCTic$nip3r 08-09-2001 06:13 AM

i dont get why would dead bodies would decrease the fps, dead bodies just stay where they are, they dont move.

Obergrenadier 08-09-2001 08:07 AM

very true, but when there are any objects on your screen it decreases FPS. i would much rather see the 15 enemies shooting at me then 20 dead bodies...

Macchi 08-09-2001 08:22 AM

lol, Koshi good point.......

Speaking of Dead Bodies, where did all those dead GI's in the trench come from? I thought Powell and the three other guys were the first to breakthrough. Maybe they came from somewhere else.
