They smash it!

Remember that movie, I think it was Armageddon at the end where they were trying to fix the space thingie so they could fly, the Russian threw that chick and said "This is how we fix things in Russia". Then he smashed the thing and it worked.

Another example is in james bond, i cant remember which exactly, but i anyway bonds driver fixed the beat up car engine by smacking it was a wrench.

GOLDEN EYE, and I'm more than sure that he was a CIA operative undercover as a Russian.
