Good book to read.

Just finished Miricale at St. Anna by Jame McBride. It's a uncorrect proof that the trade book buyer at the bookstore I work at thought I might like. I'm not sure when it comes out, but I think a lot of people from this forum migh like it, I did, It's about a black squad it Italy during WWII, it's fiction but I found it quite good. If you see it pick it up.

I've got good books for you:

Newton's Gift (his life, works and how he made his discoveries)

Zero: The biography of a dangerous idea (All about the positional number
0 and it's history, use, problems associated with it's introduction, et cetera)

Theory of Everything (explanations of what a theory of all would be like, the
problems with arriving at it and a shitload more info)

Atlas Shrugged (I don't even think I need to explain why. Ayn Rand's
masterpiece: GET IT AND READ IT...)

biggrin:

Well, I just finished Band of Brothers, amazing book. Now I can't wait to see the series when the DVD comes out. I'm going to get a book on the 3rd Infantry Division when I can.

Just read 'Rise to Revolution' by Jeff Sharra, a very good historical-fiction read about the early years of the American revolution.

REATRDS BEWARE - YOU WONT BE ABLE TO READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS! -

I recommend if someone is looking for a book that will have a lasting impression on them....

BELOVED - This book was made into a movie starring Oprah, and Danny Glover and is actually very, VERY good. If you are at all interested in the effect slavery had on the black mind and the lengths people would go to survive, this book will do it for you.

ULLEYSES - A supposed masterpiece by James Joyce. If you have no interest in READING, dont even bother with this book. Free form, stream of thought at its best.

HOUSE OF LEAVES - Frightening as all hell. And not "stephen king beat you over the head with boogie me" scary, but very situational fright.

Anything by ALEXANDER BURGESS ( A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, THE WANTING SEED (yes, THAT seed) ) -

Lots of classical.

East of Eden (which I will remake someday as a movie) -

McTeague -

MacBeth -

Hardly. I confused the name of the author with his charecter whose names both begin with A and could easily be substituted.

He lost his way at the Junction....

I read a book the other day, it was quite big, took me like a week to finish it....GREAT book, it was brilliant, captivating, and really left something in my heart and soul...I suggest you have a read If you haven't already:

'Go Dog, Go' By Dr Seuss

Truly a masterpiece. Also check out 'Marvin K. Mooney, would you please go home?' and the popular 'Green Eggs And Ham,' by the same author.

I'm reading the new Dr Phil....It's alright, I haven't really settled into it yet.
