Now I will be the first to admit that all this techie shit, other then for gaming, I am a total newibe. With that said I am in the middle of doing some research on things. So I might as well op the questions....

How do you go about renting a server and what is the price range that we are talking about here?

Price range around £100 quid a month for servers

Yeah gettin raw deal off mine at da moment which is Jo*t so fuck it go to Barrysworld or something lol

Or you can do what i did and you might get lucky. I talked to my isp about it, and they put up a server for me free of charge with no limitations at all. Only downside to this is i have to e-mail them everything i want to add to the server. The upside to this is that my server is free. Since mine is in texas, our clan uses it as a secondary server, but it still stays full.

yea stay away from Jolt we are also having probs plus we are fighting with them to up the rate as it is only a pishy 9000 just now wotta joke.

give ya a tip - go get SuperScanner from Foundstone website and use it to find all the game servers each place hosts so you can run a ping check on them.

one dodge arse place has a web based ping check.... mine comes back at 40-60 because theyve set it up to ping the website.... the servers ping at 300+
