Teamspeak and JASPER
 

Just wanted to say thanks. The info on your forum on how to setup and run
Teamspeak, went like 1,2,3. Outstanding tutorial. Keep up the good work.

I second that. I believe all our [OTD] folks now have and use TS. Kudos to Jasper and all his admins especially Redsoccerdevil. biggrin:

I was having some problems with my TS but the recent patch seems to have fixed it right up . My Thanks to Jasper and all the admins for a great addition to gameplay, very useful tool and indispensible for team communication for the typing challenged like me biggrin: Thanks again guys !

OG, is the patch worth it? I'm having no problems right now, should I upgrade? If anyone else has an opinion, Please share.

I don't know Red , if it's working okay then why patch? Why are you asking me , you're the admin , lol. biggrin: I think the patch is intended for peeps with XP who are having problems opening the program , I'm using ME but I was having the same problem so I thought I'd give it a try and TS has worked every time since.

Np, np, and thanks all of you. Forum vets will recall I tried allmost from day one to get this going. Took awhile but its all worth it. I knew from my 2 years of Tribes it greatly enhances gameplay to the point it was distracting NOT to be able to talk.

Theres no way I could have gotten this going so smoothly so soon if not for a dozen or so ppl who were as enthusiatic about this as I was. Besides another TS server Admin from Tribes I had ppl teaching me Linux and shit.

That and ALL the SAs have done a remarkable job keeping the server running.

RudeDog gets a big shout out for hosting the TeamSpeak forum. Many thanks buddy!

The views on the tutorials and the lack of posts suggests its doing its job.
Instead of trying to help EVERY person who joins we now only have to help fine tune TS for a few ppl.

The server will be up for quite awhile even if the games change :)


(pssst...RD? how 'bouts changing my title to "Resident TeamSpeak Guru" or something like that?...yeah, that'll work )

And Red, if your having no problems then dont bother.

I'd like to say thanks to those that helped me get up and running with TS today. Jasper - excellent tutorials, setup was a breeze. =[DOA]=Hollywood for answering some n oOo: b questions for me.

What a blast! I look forward to next time. Keep up the excellent work!
