How did everyone here learn the scripting language?
 

I've been at it for 5 months and still can't figure it out, and other people won't help me. Am I just destined to never get it? My latest project went down the drain because I couldn't test the script and no one would help me. The best help I got was: change the title, but it didnt work.

Is there a tutorial that can teach me this or what?

Hopefuly, if he gets any spare time, Scorpio can write a tutorial. He seems to be the forerunner in the scripting exploration, so he probably knows the most about it and understands it best. I don't expect him to, though, but I do expect that someone will write one after the majority of the community who is interested has already found out how it's done. People always wait until no one needs it before they try to help...

Get over to TMT! But don't just post I WANT HELP. Be exact in what you want and I'm sure you will get some help.

All i did was do TRIAL AND ERROR. Had to reinstall my game a couple times, but thats when i was a n00b and didnt know to back-up my files.....

Look at the post entitled "answer" in the forums. I went on and on there and relized I wasn't replying but posting.

I am pretty good at it. I am coming out with a single player map/tutorial. I got the planes, static objects, AI friendly/enemy, bombs, misc. explosions like in Omaha, plane sounds, sounds in general, music, AI paths, buildings that explode, and enything that I want to explode. I would be nowhere without the help of Nemesis and Loki. Check out their sites if you want to learn scripting. I'll put them up when I remeber what they're URLs are.

Thats too friggin funny. I had to reinstall my game like 16 times because I used to be a real schmuck and never backed up my stuff. Yah, it happens. Scripting is pretty fun once you get the hang of it.
