Getting a new vid card -
 

Well, this CANT be avoided any longer, I'm sick of there drivers for this damn card locking up the system, so I'm off to do a little "funny bizness" - and get me a top line video card.

Any recommendations before I leave in an hour?

Radeon 9700, can't get any more top of the line than that.

The ATI 9700 is the best out there, but the price is horrific, myself, I bought a Geforce 4 Ti4200 128 meg, the card is awesome for the games I have, and not very expensive either.

iv been reading stuff bout it for the past hour, all articles say the same thing, nvidia once again outdoes ati.

Well they have had a few months to improve on the 9700. Its not as if nvidia are gonna be stupid enough to release a slower card now is it?

As for outdoing at "once again" nvidia will be outdone yet agaiin with the higher clock speed r-350 which will be around a november release.

I've been looking online, and I want to get an nVidia card, but there drivers are killing me, and ATI supposedly have more features. I'm looking for a 300 and under card, preferably 128meg DDR

it would be cool to have both company to release there cards at the same time to see who is really working the hardest and who has the best card

wow mr know it all asked for help...nvidea driver problems...they have best suport..sounds like more than a video problem to me...ati new card has driver issues...go with a nvidea gforce4 ti 4600...you beat me in to games so u must have a nice cpu..it sounds like a power source problem to me...

I'd go with a Geforce4 Ti4600... but they overpriced it so badly only rich
white kids can afford one.
