making a sound mod

i added my own wav files to make my own custom sound mod. i zipped it up with winzip and renamed it to .pk3 but moh wont play the sounds and there are no other mods in so what do you think is the problem? pls help!

Have you tried renaming your mod higher alphabetically AFTER pak6.pk3? For instance z_mysound.pk3?

What ever mod has the greater heirarchy alphabetically takes precedent.
