LAGG OR SABOTAGE?

Hi, I got a mail from someone asking about sabotage:

He's hosting a server with 512k adsl connection and says that everyone in the game has dropped their weapons at the same time unwillingly and switched to binoculars.

Ive experienced this before whilst playing on other peoples servers, but not since version 1.0. I just put it down to lag or something (even though my ping was quite low).

Any ideas? cool:

Good question.

It has happened to me as well. I can't remember what server it was on. I switched to the binoculars right in the middle of a firefight and ended up full of holes. I'm not sure if it happened to anyone else. My fingers were firmly planted on WASD and went nowhere near the 7 key.

I had forgotten about it until you posted.

Yeah its only happened a couple of times and that was when I was on V1.0, not seen it on V1.1. Anyone else help with this one? cool:

had that happen too, but also unwilling switch to pistol, sometimes it even fires a couple a shots before i gain control. A couple of times server admins have accused people of trying to run a cheat or hack causing that glitch as a result. This has occured on several servers.

LAG (one G)is what happens when teh net is congested, your comupter is too slow, etc.

LAGG (two Gs)is a Soviet WWII era fighter plane (LAGG-3)

(just thought you might want to know this)
