How do you Spectate?
 

I have tried to spectate before and can only do it briefly when I enter a game. Peeps have told me to hit the "Enter" key to cycle thru the active players, but this does not work. What are the commands to Spectate and cycle thru the active players? oOo:

i think u push "e". well thats what i push anyways, it might be different on your game. ya, i think its the button that lets u open doors and stuff

Hey DAD-

All the servers are different but this is what I've found to hold true the majority of the time.

When you first enter a server you're usually in Spectate. There is a message that appears at the bottom of the screen that tells you how to manipulate Spectate Mode.

To change the player you're following it's normally the Use key. The default is E. Spacebar (?) is used to go into Free Spectate. Jump will raise the camera, Crouch will lower the camera. WASD and the mouse will move the camera just as it does your character. Pulling the trigger will end Spectate and ask you to choose your side. You can re-enter Spectate by hitting ESC and selecting Spectate from the bottom of the list.

There is no clipping in Free Spectate so you can go thru walls and the ground. It's quite fun to get the bird's-eye-view of a heated battleground. You can get some great screenshots too.

To get into spectate while in a game press Escape and you will see the menu (Team-Weapon-etc). The bottom choice is Spectate which will take you out of game and into spectate. Use teh controls as Bane spelled out, w-a-s-d-ctrl-space.

Sorry Dad , it may have been me who told you to use the enter key to change between players , I changed my "use" key to "enter" , and it's been that way for so long I forgot the default "use" key is "E". Sorry bout that! oOo: oOo: oOo:
