Does anyone know why on the side of their helmets they have spades and clubs etc? We've all seen them but I don't know what they mean. Are they company specific or something like that?

Also does anyone have the picture of Compton from the 7th episode when he drops his helmet after seeing Bill and the other dude get shelled?

The inantry regiments were represented by playing card symbols, Diamonds for 501, Hearts for 502, Spades for 506th, Clubs for the 327th Glider Infantry.
