Compass - Photoshop 7 Help!

Alright i'm making a compass and I use Alpha channels/quick mask to make parts invisible, now i' supposed to make sure that when I save it I make sure the Alpha Channels box is checked so it saves them. One problem: when I go to save and I choose Targa (TGA) as the format Photoshop 7 wont let me check the alpha channels box! What do I do?

This is why i switched to psp7..way easier... You only need to save it to alpha-channel 1. up top is there a setting masks...then save to alpha channel?

Nope sorry that's not there, if it helps i'm following Scarface's tutorial. Come on there must be some Photoshop 7 users out there who can help me!

So Paint Shop Pro will let you save alpha channels (invisible bits) in TGA format?
Can someone please give me a tutorial on how to do alpha channel invisible bits in Paint Shop Pro then pleae? cry:

if you have a "Special" version of photoshop 7, you are screwed. But if you bought it, go to Adobe.com and get the 7.0.1 update patch that fixes the .tga/alpha channel problem. You shouldnt have a problem with the compass, however - you only need the tga/alpha thing if you are including a shader file with it, I believe.

Thanks the patch worked perfectly! I also got Paint Shop Pro 7 aswell, so i'm fine now. Thanks for all your help! biggrin:
