MOHAA vs Battlefield 1942

What do you guys really think?

I've been waiting for Spearhead to come out but it's not here in the UK until December so I thought I'd give Bf1942 a try.

Honestly, I really think it lacks something that MOHAA has. I know that in Bf1942 you drive this, fly that, the maps are huge, every WW2 battle etc etc but for me it doesn't have the gritty realism of MOHAA.

The only way I can describe it is the 'realism' feel of the game is far less than MOHAA - it has a far stronger arcade feel.

From what I've seen of the game - it is a different one to MOHAA. Comparing say Destroyed Village with any of the levels in Bf1942 you really see this difference. Also, with the weapons.

Anyway, that's my sixpence.

There both really good games. But BF1942 offers somtin that MOHAA was supposed to offer, Team Work. It's just very uplifting to have a game go almost flawless when you fire artillery from a ship, then invade with 6 guys on a higgins boat. It's a fun game, I would recommend gettin it until Spearhead comes out.

Good point.

The teamplay is a great part of the game - on tanks etc...

i like them both equally
cuz in BF1942 u can drive vehicles
but at the rate scorpio is going we'll be driving bicyles before long biggrin:
but mohaa has better graphics to offer over BF1942 which to me it looks like that have thin stick people

Also on a side note, you should really only get BF if you stats are: G4 ti 4200, 512 mb ram, and like 1.5 gig processer.

ThinIce 11-02-2002 02:29 PM

No shit! God damn, I have to turn EVERYTHING on low to run smoothly because I need more friggen RAM

I like MoH better the atmosphere is just alot more intense and real, BF1942 is to bright and cheery.

They each have there ups and downs. This is the first time in a very long time that I actually have more then one game installed on my box.

BTW remember "dirty dozen" single player only. Well they just released a "dirty dozen2" with multiplayer. I thought that game was awesome for SP only play. I have not herd anyone talk about it. anyone know any info on the MP game or has tried it online.??

Many people did not like Dirty dozen for some reason. I thought that game was awesome for SP only and wished it had a MP, then came MOHAA came along and I totally forgot about it.

Just seen it on fileplanet but my connection was slow. If you never played it I would recommend it.
