Editing the welcome screen
Could someone let me know how to edit the welcome message when you come into a game. I have some friends who are running a game on a server but want to change the message you see when you first enter the game...can someone let me know?

I think there is a guide on aa.com somewhere about this.
Or you can goto RudeDogs new site [url:da7fd]http://www.mohadmin.com/nuke/[/url:da7fd] Its under download---> server side mods. Look for Change your MOTD It's easy when you learn how. If you have problems reply back and I'm sure someone will help you. |
Great..thanks.

Ive written a tutorial on this exact thing, use the link in my sig to visit my site. Its under "modding", "tutorials", "Altar the In-Game Death Messages and Startup Message".
Try it, it works great. |
You're talking about the splash screen before the game boots, right? Like during the movie sequence?
|
No I was referring to the MOTD, I'm pretty sure. It's when you come into a game and it says "Welcome to so and so's server" I have followed the above information and now I think I got a handle on it. Thanks for your help.

Ah, that's the localization file. You can find that on mohadmin.com

Yes, the check is in the mail to both of you. I didnt know your addresses so I just randomly picked some. Hope that works. If not, then since that was the last of my money..a simple thanks will have to do.
