Hmmm isn't that like asking, "Hey can someone help me cheat?"... Oh well try the FuXuenZoom12. It's not eaxtly IR but it does have some light enhancements!

MPowell1944 11-04-2002 10:18 AM

using an infrared scope is "cheating"? lmao!

c'mon now.

Bleed_4_Me 11-04-2002 10:21 AM

Hmmm I guess not! It's just a game after all.

Captain_McCusker 11-04-2002 10:47 AM

Considering the time-frame of the game, it could be considered cheating. IR and NV didn't become standard operating gear until well after Vietnam. While this may in fact be "just a game," there are other games where the theme behind the gameplay is more advanced like SOF or America's Army. In this game, however, the theme dictates that the technology is circa 1944 and therefore the IR and NV isn't available.

Furthermore, since this type of thing isn't regulated on the server by default or otherwise, then giving one person NV or IR while the rest don't have that luxury is almost like changing the rules of the game on a whim because it suits you to do so. Speaking frankly, it's just not fair to anyone else who comes in contact with you, regardless of your skill level.

MPowell1944 11-04-2002 11:00 AM

i can understand those facts McCusker, but this also stands true. The other people playing with the "disadvantage" are just as capable of grabbing a new scope too. so in fact, everyone has the same advantage, its just that the one person using that scope acted on that advantage.

if ya ban edited scopes, ya might as well ban edited skins. in the long run, new scopes are no big deal.

lets not drag this out to a several page thread. mmmkay.

check ya later. fire2:

Send you a NV Scope or Goggles? You know how expensive those are???! heh

Search the downloads for "Night" fool! biggrin:

GhostRider2AD 11-04-2002 02:09 PM

Actually Night vison came in near the end of WW II. And it was standard equipment to the line units before Nam. Back then it was called Starlight or IR. IR Rise and IR Rise Passive.
