Lost RCon Password!
 

Hi,

does anyone know where the rconpassword is stored, after you changed it, using rcon set rconpassword?

Even if I restart the server, the server doesn't use the rcon-password in the.cfg file I specified. There must be a second location where this is stored.

Any Ideas?

Are you running a dedicated or non-dedicated server?

From the sound of it, it sounds like it's not dedicated.

Dedicated Linux.

But, I finally found the problem. The was a file called .public.conf which was the cache of public.cfg.
