Track Question
OK for all you runners out there. I was at the track today at school and it is a 200M track. I asked if it was 200M on the inside or on the outside and they couldn't tell me for sure. The guy thought it was 200M from the inside of the track. I really need to know for when i'm training for the army. 12X around the 200M track = 2.4 KMS in under 11:56. My times will vary a lot if I run on the inside opposed to the outside. Anyone know the general rule of thumb? Thanks.

it would be an inside measure. That is the reason the runners are stagered during the start so the outside runners are not going a further distance than the inside runner

Excellent. Thanks. That makes sense.
