Does anyones windows update WORK?
 

Mine just keeps looping it needs to update yadda yadda I tried what it said on the site but it didnt fix. bigzooka: windows update

Well you can always turn it off.

If I need to update something, I'll check at the windows update site every now and then to see if there is a fix (i.e. video cards, yadda yadda mayadda").

Mine works fine.

The little icon pops up in the systray and notifies me that updates are available. I click it and it downloads the updates. It notifies me when it's done and then applies the updates.

No problemo.

Mine says every once in awhilw "Connecting to Microsoft autoupdate"

I only install the updates I need, but Windows Update works fine. The only thing I CAN'T install is the SP1 for .NET Framework.

mine pops up in the tray and usually updates by itself sneakily when i'm not looking, i don't get any problems.
But on http://www.download.com they have an updating program called 'Cnet: catchup' -it scans your computer for things that need updating and when its done you just click on links that update your computer, its really simple and very useful, makes alot of difference. try it out, you'll see the links on the website :)
