SERVER NOT SHoWING UP??????????????
 

Well to start off, When i make a server,not dedicated, the server name doesnt pop up for any of my buds.However, they can connect through my ip .. i dont use gamespy ..dont have it installed.. and my port settins for the game are 12203 .. which are normal yet the name of the server never pops up... My buds can enter in the ip addy followed by 12203 and get in my game ... why wouldnt the server name pop up on the master lists for anyone ? Im dumbfounded by this ..ive looked all over the net and nothing i come to this forum in hopes of help .Thanks in advance ...

ADSL connected threw ethernet card .... ie modem to ethernet cord to ethernet card ....

a couple of things

are you running a router or firewall? if so you will need to forward the correct ports

If your running a spearhead server, you will need to add
set ui_dedicated 1
in your server.cfg file or server shortcut.

All the ports needed are listed in the FAQ on top or head on over to MOHadmin.com for more server related discussions.

No sir, i have no fire wall nore do I use a router of anykind.I am runnin windows XP pro which i dont belive should make a differnece.And i am hosting a game in Allied assault ,also i have upgraded to the newest patch.And yes sir i have the ports already open.Im not a stupid guy but, i seem to be leaving something out here, and i just cant figure why it will not show up. I have tryed serval times a day for long periods and even different days of the week.It just doesnt make sense to my why i can host a game and ppl of all types join it yet it doesnt show up on the master server list.. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatful. And thanks for the reply sir i appreciate it.. :)

Because the in game browser is *powered by game spy* I believe you have to check *Use Game Spy* for your server when you create it, so others can see it. Give that a try. cool:

Also are you using a Server.cfg file? if so send us your shortcut path like:
[code:d9e67]"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\MOHAA.exe" +set cl_playintro 0[/code:d9e67]

The easy way to do the above mentioned is to right click your short cut highlight the path and copy it, then just paste it in.

And your server.cfg file PLEASE REMOVE YOUR RCON PASSWORD IF USING ONE

If your not using a server.cfg file try this:

after your game is starts pull down the consol and type:

[code:d9e67]seta sv_gamespy 1[/code:d9e67]
