Dedicated Server: Not visible in GS???
 

Hello all,

I have just started a Dedicated Spearhead servern, and after editing some stuff it started working like a baby biggrin:, but the problem is that the server is not visible in GameSpy, because its a public server it would be real nice if it did show up in GS. (10vs 10 is more fun than 1 on 1 LOL)

I allready tried a couple of things but they did not have any effect..
I added/edited these lines to the config file (in this case tow.cfg because we wanted a Tug Of War Server ;))

set sv_gamespy 1
set ui_dedicated 1

Should be making the server visible in GameSpy, and it should be seen as a dedicated server... but it doesnt.

Also a m8 of mine had a little program to view server info, turned out the Spearhead server was recodnized as a Quake 3 server :| with a timeout. I know that MOHAA and MOHAAS run on the quake 3 engine but that's it, I'm totally out of clues! Can anybody help me here????

Talk to your host provider.. tell them to fix it.. That's what we did..

But now I-Lan moved there servers...we now have a new IP and we aren't showing in GaySpy or the In-Game browser again.. So again we are bugging I-Lan to get it up and running..

I've also heard stories from others that never got there's to show up untill getting a new IP...

It's a bug in the game.. But your host provider should have a work around for it...

It's possible your server is behind a router/firewall. You need to open the ports of the router/firewall in order for your server to work on Gamespy. You can get these ports from DogMeat's Guide @ http://www.mohadmin.com
