WHEEEEEEEEEE!!! - ASE WORKS WITH SPEARHEAD!
 

Took me awhile to figure this out, but here it is -

Go to FILTER (its on the top bar)

Create a NEW filter.

Name it SPEARHEAD (or whatever)

Add this line of test:

1 if version ~!= "*Medal*" remove
2 if protocol == "15" goto 4
3 remove

Save it. Bam. All (or I hope all - at least a whole fucking lot) servers listed. If you combine this with the "old" method (of adding text to the main filters), it will allow you to refresh the SH icon, and now pick up all servers instead of the small amount it used to pick up.

i got it to accept the setting ,but i cant get it to let me in a game when i refresh spearhead. please help .. thanks

TY again, but this is the 5th time this has been posted. We either need a SH forum or a SH FAQ.

I did that but when I clicked on a server,I got mesage telling me to go on options and change my set up.

If you originally edited the filters.txt to work with Spearhead, you will have to do it over. That auto-update came with a new one, and wrote over it.

My bad. Forgot to mention that. Yes the "update" did overwrite the existing FILTER. I'd turn auto update off, so that you can check to see if there are any updates you even want.

Uhm, you're gonna have to do a search on this forum if you need the old text for ASE to recognize SH.

Hmmm... I have never edited my filters for anything and went and did this and still get the error "Couldnt Execute Program go to View->Options->Games to configure"

What .. in noob terms, do I need to do next? I'm not sure I understand your last sentence. Are you saying ...forget everything you posted here and do a search for how to do it from someone elses post?

this doesnt work

you can get it to show a list and poll the servers correctly but cannot connect.

the spearhead demo filter contents can be altered to use (1) the full version registry key (2) the filters you gave (3) give a new mutex value. you can also edit all demo paths to point to full version but still doesnt run the game when you try to connect.

Guys go to this thread this guy copied other people's work and in the thread i post here, will show exactly how to do it step by step and u will be able to see servers and ALSO join them!
