LAGGING
 

I want to know why, when I play MOHAA on single player it works fine for every level but when I play snow levels (snow wilderness) it lags big time.
Why is this?

That is weird. Snowy Park in AA is one of the less cumbersome levels, computerwise. Does this happen in SP and MP or just one or the other?

Lag = when comp is slow right?

I have that same problem, the snowy woods level in sp made my machine jerk along badly, the snowy park mp level also runs badly, I dont know why either

thats down to the grafix card....what card is it and how much on board mem does the card have?

go to options and turn off weather effects

there is a diffrence between "lag" and "chop".

Lag has to do with your internet connection. I.E. you play MOH:AA multiplayer online with a 56k and your gonna get some bad lag.

Chop is when your frames are shitty. Bring down your console and type Fps 1. If you have frames in the red, then you need a new vid card or proccesser.

I don't think it has anything to do with what I am running (our computer is fairly new). Pentium 4, 1.6Ghz, and I think it is a NVIDIA card could be some sort of Geforce, not sure.
The point is it runs excellent in ever level except all the snow levels. This is when I play single player, I don't play Multiplayer (only have a 56k modem).

It has a little to do with hardware becasue your machine is a nice rig. Talking to one of the actual programmers/developers of Spearhead in one of the forums over at mohadmin told us thins. The maps where your fps sux ass is in the actual lighting and textruing of the map you are on. He told us that they actual crapped Holland and the other 2 ''laggy" or "choopy" out to get the game out quicker. It was supposed to be patched with the 2.11 patch but no avail. I'm running 2.11 on D@B_GhostServer and still have the same issues along with the butt scoot boogie. We are also losing ability to jump or croutch during play. We have to go spectate and come back in to fix it. Hope this helps.

lag is when ur computer is slow...u must be very new to computer games ehh?

pff talking about being a n00b with computergames isnt cool Tabias. If you want my opinion: your pc is fast enough to run mohaa. And I think Tabias is talking crap: lagg when you have a slow computer my ass oOo:

Thats not lag...LOL.

Most games rely on data transfer that is far different from downloading a file or even loading a web page. Games require frequent short bursts of data to be sent and received, and how fast they are received - lag- is extremely important. Any data error will result in more lag.

The other Type is when your video card cant handle certain maps and the FPS drops to a crappy rate. In console type fps 1 and check what your fps is running at. Maps like Snow and Bridge map usually have lower FPS rates.

i was just answering his question, god! sry if i wasnt exactly accurate, but when u lag ur computer does get slow, ur fps goes way down, occasionaly u will walk backward instead of forward, or fall up, this sounds funny, but is very annoying, so i belive that when u lag ur computer is running slowly, be it cause or effect of lag

RESPECT SHUBBA Tabias! I did not mean to look like a jerk...although i might be! evil: evil: I know you are right about the laggy part...verrrry annoying and YES sometimes you walk backwards instead of forwards oOo: lol.
