Yes, we have far better infantry weapons than any of the Allies. Your repeating rifle is the only thing which is better than ours, the G43.

We have a better standard rifle, the Mauser, our automatic weapons, the MP40, and MP44, have better range (with the MP44 being the ultimate ww2 infantrymen's weapon)...don't even tell me you'd rather fire a .30 cal than a MG42. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

We even have cool grenades. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/tongue.gif

The only weapon that the Americans have that I am jealous of is the .50 cal, but even it runs through ammo way too fast, and is a hassle to lug around.

Yeah and the maschinegewehr 42 is really easy on ammo http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif. Seeing that it can get up to speeds such as 1800 rounds per minute i think not http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

It is also an ammo eater, but you can't compare the two. The .50 cal is much heavier all the way around, which means you can't carry as many rounds as you can with the MG42.

The MG42 was made to be light, and frighteningly effective. As a machine gun it is superior to the .50 cal.

The MG42 is just a better weapon. The .50 cal is just a very awkward gun to lug around, the MG42 isn't. The MG42 has a quick change barrel, if it overheats from firing too much, the .50 cal doesn't. The MG42 can spread more bullets in a specific area than the .50 cal, in the same amount of time...meaning it fires faster and with much greater accuracy at long ranges, than the .50 cal.

I like the .50, but not more than the MG42. The MG42 is just a better weapon.
