More than one machine per IP?
Does anyone know if there are any special settings needed to get two PCs onto the same server playing MOHaa? I've seen it done, but haven't been able to get it to work myself yet. Any tips are welcome.

i wouldnt think it was possible but im clueless oOo:

All you do is join both people on the two pcs in the same house/place on the same server...it's that easy. biggrin:
|
I used to do it all the time. Simply run your connection through a router.
|
I have a little belkin hub I use and all three of the pc's show the same IP when we are in a server. Be ready for your ping to go up a little if your using a cable modem.

If your using a linksys, upgrade to the latest firmware. this was a problem with older firmware.
Also connect one PC at a time. once fully connected then start the other one. Still may not work because of your ISP. If your running just a hub and not a router then your lucky as this has slipped by your ISP provider. If your sharing your connection via a hardware router then follow the above info. good luck |
Rude, we may be talking on the phone soon, I switched providers from RoadRunner to Earthlink to save $$$, and they don't give support for setting up routers. Since this will be my first time, I could use advice on ports, and all that junk. biggrin: I'll let you know when I'm rdy to set it up, then we'll see what we can do.

Ok, when I tried it last I was on the old firmware for my router. Mayhap that I have already fixed it and just don't know yet :) Thank's guys.

i can also back this up..the newest linksys firmware fixes it, just connect one at a time

Naaaaa , you don't need a router . But a home network whit a router is much better than mine... Mine is cheap , router is bit costly , hub or swicht can do same job , but contac your isp first. |
