Well i know you need a 'special' program. Try searching in google... I'll also try. One of my friends had one, but you have to figure out how many frames per secone you need. In action games, i bet you'll need a lot of frames/second to get everything, otherwise it'll be really crappy.

But, his program wasn't tested in games. It was just used throughout the desktop. I bet it would work in games though. I'll see if i can find it for you.

Hmm, i found something here[/url:028f7]. Apparently you need a program called 'Bulent's Screen Recorder'. But the link on that website is broken, so i'll have to give you the d/l link here[/url:028f7]. freak:

Holy crap, Massassi.net! I haven't been there since I stopped playing JK, heh.

Anyways, besides what Wolf said, you can't really record a demo. Here's your options:

1) Buy a TV-Tuner card, and hook up your PC to your TV, then record it to a VHS/DV tape.

2) Get a proggie like FRAPS (http://www.fraps.com) to take rapid screenshots for you, then take those SS's, and convert them to an animated .GIF using another proggie, like Paint Shop Pro (http://www.jasc.com). Only downside to this is no sound.

3) Try what Wolf said.

A good screen capture program to use is Camtasia Studio by TechSmith. It allows you to set area where you want to capture motion or still, i.e. full screen or just portion of the screen. Camtasia producer allows you to edit your recorded video and drop frames you dont need.

i've heard that all those external programs work well for recording things like the mouse moving around and clicking on things, but can't record gameplay from any game because the game uses so much resources and so does the recording program...

there was also a command posted that you type in console something like avidemo 1 or something like that, what it did was take rapid screenshots of gameplay, but when i did this my frames per second dropped to 3, and the game was completely unplayable like that...

sooo... your only real option is to but a graphics card that has a capture ability, some tv tuner cards have this capture ability... then you use the tv out on your video card to play moh on your tv, you record the game on vhs... then u play the vhs and capture the video back into your pc using the tv tuner with capture abillity...

note: i have seen several videos done using this method, including the videos of getting onto 2 different roofs on algiers that were posted on this forum a long time ago, and the video is very low quality...

me i have been trying to push ea to include demo recording (a standard feature of the quake 3 engine) for a looong time... i have been hoping that it would be included in a patch sometime, but now i realize that this is ea and they aren't going to do jack... why have i been pushing for demo recording? i beleive it could have been a useful anti-cheat tool...

The Bullets program that i told you about (What ever its called) works for me. I've gor Win98. biggrin: I hate ME, XP, and 2K and all that shit. 98 is the best one.

Anyway, i recorded me posting around on these forums, and i left it recording for 3 horus. It turned out to be 600 odd MB. It was only on 4 frames/min. lol, it made my damn computer grind almost to a halt. Lucky for me i was in a calm mood, and i could locate the video file and delete the fucker. mwah:

Anyway, its a fun little program. Its the only one i could find because all the other search results turned up video cameras. And we dont want one of those things pointing at out screen while we try and play, do we? Didin't think so.

Anywho, i'm going to find those other ones you guys suggested, because it'll only take me 10 seconds to download them with my cable modem. Mwa-HahaHAhaAHah evil: I'll test them all and maybe try and find some more to use.
