rconpassword stopped working........
I have a mohaa server that I connect to at our lanparty and was able to admin it with rconpassword "xxx". I installed spearhead on my local machine but yet when I run the normal mohaa exe and connect to my server when I type the rconpassword "xxx" it doesn't work. I even tried changing it in the cfg file, no good. Any ideas? Thanks.

You'll need one of those guys who always hosts servers and shit. I am not one of them... Sorry, i wish i could help.

Are you trying to connect to a SPearhead server with MOHAA?

1st if you change the rcon password in the cfg file you will need to have the server restarted.
2nd you can rcon two ways 1st from within the game connected and playing on your server [code:5a8bf]rcon xxx status[/code:5a8bf]where xxx is your password If you playing on someone else's server and wish to check your server you need to call out to the address of your server first [code:5a8bf]rconaddress x.x.x.x rconpassword xxx[/code:5a8bf] after this you do not need to enter your password after rcon and b4 your command. For more help check out my rcon guide located at my site MOHadmin.com under guides. Good Luck |
funny thing is that I reinstalled from scratch both the client and server, didn't add any custom skins or even put on spearhead and it still didn't work. I gave the cfg files to my friend and we changed a setting or too and it worked for him. I changed the hostname and it worked, just like that. Thank you guys for the help, I still can't believe it.

same problem here
i experienced the same problem :-(
after installation of mohaa SH the rcon isnt working anymore i even tried to install it new (uninstalled mohaa sh and mohaa and then installed only mohaa) and its still not working. i've no idea where the problem is hidden Sake |
works now
i restarted the whole OS and now it works fine.
strange... Sake |
Its prolly SpearHead, every recent problem with regular Mohaa usually traces back to "Hmmm I recently installed Spearhead but..." lmfao :)

If you are going to reinstall like you said, it needs to be done the right way, you have to get rid of the registry keys, too. Read here how to do it: http://mohaa.xgshosting.com/joe/installguide.htm |
