not just another fps/console questiion

i read this on a different website, that if u type com_maxfps 300 in the console it will increase your overall fps. has anyone done this or know if it works?

also, does anyone what the default setting of this com_max fps is so that i can revert it if i do make this change?

just wondering

well your fps is capped at 99 by default... so do com_maxfps 999 then watch what ur framerate is using fps 1.... once u see when u average, set that as ur maxfps. good luck.

Please, use 250. It's impossible to go over 300 anyways, so just stick to 250.

well if you want to get techincal. Your FPS wont go high unles you have a good video card. What is your videocard and I will tell you about how high it CAN go to.

If your videocard is a 64mb card, dont except it to go higher than 60. It if is a 32mb card it prob wont go higher than 20-40 in game. Yes in some places it will go higher, but in the general public with alot of people in it this is the average.

If you have a great videocard a 128mb card, then it will go high. That and ram always helps heh.

K, its not just the wideo card that matters. I have a geforce2 64 meg and my frames fly from 50-96. It depends on the overall system. FACT: Mohaa requires a better cpu than a videocard!, but an overall rounded system will be much better if you want fast fps with nice graphics.
My two eatthis: cents
