But for Spearhead I do like the rifle.. the rocket sucks ass.. and sniping with the pistol just ain't right.

How can you possibly say that the shotgun is for pussies? If anything, the sniper is for pussies, cause you can just find a spot to camp and be a sniper-pussy spawn killer. A real man moves around in a map and doesn't play hide and seek. Grab a shotgun and expose yourself to enemy fire--and take them down!
Or-- hide like a coward with a sniper rifle and pick off players as they spawn.
The choice is yours.
Better yet-- grab the bolt-action rifle (no scope!) and see how you fare.
Too many players these days are padding their kills with spawn-kiling and think they're good.
Come out and fight like a man!
And stop the damn no-rocket mods! It floors me that nobody wants rockets in their server, but will allow all the pussies to grab their snipers! It's so easy to pick off a rocket user because of the reload time, I don't know why a lot of servers don't let them in. It's use at your own risk-- yet everyone hates them.
I'll take a strategic firefight over a spawn killing anyday. Real men use shotguns!

Actually, I would think that spawn killing would be the strategic move. Running the alleys and building with a shotty might be considered tactical.

Why dont we just ban EVERY weapon that youdont like so it will be a fairgame? Huh? The reason the sniper rifle is there is for skilled players (hint, hint lol) who can snipe people with ease. I dont just camp there with the sniper rifle! You cant do that. One shot will just gove away your position. And, when that happens to me i grab my rifle and run around like a crazy man looking for some throats to pop. Then, i get into some cover, and start poping some more throats.

Do you think in WWII people used to just run around like loonies with shotguns going "Waaaaaaaaa!!!! A sniper!!! He is a cheater because he is campind and he shot me in the throat!!!". No, they didn't. So cram it.

FYI, I am very skilled with the sniper and 99% kill with 1 shot. That's not the reason I don't like it. And I don't take your flaming personally. Everyone has their own opinions.
But where's the "strategy" of spawn killing in a Free For All environment? That's like taking candy from a baby and nothing to take pride in. As hard as I try, I find no strategy there. Team? Objective? Snipe all you want. That's just one man's opinion. And as far as WWII authenticity goes, since you brought it up, how authentic is the FFA environment anyway? You've got Axis killing Axis, Allied killing Allied......... Now I don't remember those battles in WWII.
Everyone has their own style and more power to them, it doesn't mean everyone else has to like it.
Lastly, isn't a server putting in a weapon mod what HE likes? No problem there, though, huh?

You know what--- I apologise to all. I guess I was a little bored, too, so I responded to this post. And in so doing I just added to the mottled bull%$#@ threads that are cluttering the forum for those of us that are looking for real information. Again, I apologise. It WON'T happen again.
