xbox live needs some work
 

Was just playing mechassault "team destruction" as i received my headset today and to say it was confusing is an understatement. Why in the HELL does it not include a team chat option? I was running around like a headless chicken following some commands only to find out it was some guy on the opposing team giving orders to his team.

Another thing it needs is some sorta icon appearing over a mech to let you know who exactly is speaking sorta like counterstrike. Its confusing enough with no team chat but its even more annoying if its someone on your team giving commands and you have to stick your crosshair over your team mates to find out who's saying what.


The whole xbox live experiance is like a pack of stereotypical people from every country playing. Americans just HAVE to say the word DUDE about 100,000 times a match, this isn't the 1960's ffs why in the hell do you even use that word these days? Whereas brits say the word "mate" a lot.

Havn't heard any irish people on yet so i dunno what we're perceived like biggrin:

Just heard an irish person playing, i know by the accent but aside from him saying shit a few times ther was nothing too stereotypical about him :)

Gerard, I got it too, I should add you to my buddy list online. But there is a team chat option let me read the book real quick... yah here it is, the black button turns team chat on and off. The only problem is that it doesn't tell you what it is on, so you just gotta guess. Anyways, see you around sometime.

do you hook it up to a phone jack??

im not sure but i think u plug it into ur broadband modem or just modem for 56K

Only cable or DSL, just get a network cable and plug it into your box. Pretty easy way they have it set up too. Although it took me a lot of time to find the key to type into the live service. Hiow about you Gerard, didn't realize you had to scrath that thing on back.
