is there any way to run mohaa in windowed mode?

like the title says.. if youre not sure what im talking about, by windowed i mean when you play it doesnt take up the full screen..

hit alt enter to get out into windowed mode, and alt enter again to enter full screen.

By the way since he brought it up. I been meaning to ask this. When I switch from windowed back to full or vice versa.. it goes through a load of about 1 minute. Does everyones do that or is mine messed up somehow.

when I switch between them it takes abuot a min too. Just our end i think.

It goes great for like a second, then its fine. I think its resizing.

Windowed

The only problem when playing in windowed screen is sometimes your shot doesnt register in MOHAA. The cursor sometimes goes outside of the window and will cause a laps in firing (esp with sniping) or it will minimize your screen. I have been killed plenty from that happening.

vVolf 12-13-2002 02:33 AM

Yeah, and sometimes on slower machines it goes slower in windowed mode.

Yep...it craps out for like a min when changing to windowed mode. It's not just you....

By the way, don't try it with Spearhead because the game will crash, plus it will take forever and then crash out next time you try to play it.

You have to edit you unnamedsoldier.cfg file. It's down the bottom somewhere, ("fullscreen" 1 -- change to 0 for no fullscreen)

The reason it takes a little time between windowed and full switching, is because it turns off openGL resizes opens opengl again, and engages the game world.

What Sniper said. The OpenGL drivers have to get refreshed whenever you switch. It's like doing a vid_restart. The same goes for BF1942 and Jedi Outcast, too.

MOMMA 12-13-2002 03:04 PM

OK, well at least it is the same for most. Wondered if my machine was acting up or something.

Yeah that pointer thing in windowed mode has got me killed plenty of times...lol.. Grrrrrrr

I dont know about anyone else, but BF1942 refreshes for me ALOT faster than it does in SH. However I've yet to be able to run BF in window mode. I wonder if you need to readjust the config file.

Sniper Wolf [USAR] 12-13-2002 06:11 PM

bf1942 was not really made to be played in windowed. With such a high requirements for video, and such a vast map for land air and sea vehicles. ITs just to hard for it to handle in windowed.
