allies scope not working
i made an allied scope and saved it to user-crap.pk3 but after all that it still wouldnt work in the game, i read a lot of tutorials and did everything they say, then after saving it says that it will work, but it never works for me and just stays with the default scope. I have no other custom scopes on there

check you have the correct path inside the PK3.
like just putting a scope TGA in there won work it has to be in a full path like \weapons\hud\zoomoverlay.tga (not correct but you get the idea) easiest way to check is download someone elses of aa.com and check nside it to see the correct directory structure. |
it is its textures/hub/user-myscope.pk3 i just dont understand y it doesnt work. i even looked at hobbs' tutorial and i did all that and i still cant get it to work
|
did you put a pk3 inside the pk3? cause thats what ya typed...and if so, that may have a little bit to do with it. email me your scope and ill get it goin for you if ya like. punkniner@evilemail.com

no no, my mistake, its textures/hub/zoomoverlay.tga
i said user-gallofear.pk3 bc thats the name of the file, kinda got confused. |
its HUD not HUB...
|
ahh! i know i know, but im at school right now and im not looking at it, forgive me if i misspell a word. but anyway hobbs i followed your tutorial and did everything, but it just uses the allies default scope, and ive looked at other scopes compiling, and its the same as mine.
|
do you have tex compression on? send me the file ill have a look. could be the alpha channel.
|
if it doesnt work at all and ur confident you did everything right just extract it into /main/textures/hud/
to make sure it works at all |
kkk
k ill try that
|
im kinda not to happy with my tutioral so i think ill ask minefield to help me with my nxt one! he's the best scope modder i know and well try to come up with a simple tutorial to follow! sorry for the confusion! i know it works now, but he and i will come up with something better!
