Is spearhead worth getting?
 

Is the spearhead expansion really worth getting? I don't care about the price, it would be for christmas, so you dont have to bring that part of it up...

Usually id get an expansion if money isnt the case, they just add new things, so its a win win situation...

But, in this case, i've heard some pretty bad things about it, see im about multiplayer, and all these reviews ramble about how short the single player is, now i love the single player, but i dont care how long it is, since i love the regular mohaa single player...but....ive heard bad things about the spearhead multiplayer. I heard it lags like hell now, and the games created automatically start off in a fast quake like mode that is very unreal, and ive also heard the game adds some other things that are annoying...

so....do you think i should get the game, or live with the non-laggy and more realistic mohaa multiplayer?

SP is worthless, MP is full of "quake kiddies" and everyone whines about something, be it grenades rockets shotguns mgs smgs pistols (they all have sniper-accuracy now except for the shotgun) etc. worth getting, yes (hint hint) worth buying no, worth getting as a gift, no.

There are already a number of discussions about Spearhead and its pros and cons in this forum. If you dig through the first 5-10 pages, you will find most of them.

Quick rule of thumb:

If you played MOH:AA until your fingers bled, then get Spearhead.
If not, then dont.

not a very good rule of thumb, i loved mohaa to death and hate shit...spearhead.

I got it cuz I love anything with WW2, forget the price if you really like it

The rule of thumb implies nothing about whether or not you will like Spearhead. Its about whether you should buy it or not. I only think people should get it (through purchase or other means) only if they are obsessed with MOH. Because only they will be able to stomach the monstrosity that is Spearhead.
